Hayley stood
on the dock looking at the cruise ship. She was waiting for her best friend, Leighanne and her husband, Brian. She saw them
coming with Nick, Kevin, Kristin, AJ, and Howie.
“Hayley!”
Leighanne said running to her.
“Hey Leigh,”
Hayley said as they hugged. Brian came up and hugged her.
“Hey sweetie,”
Brian said.
“Hey B,”
Hayley said. Kevin, Kristin, AJ, and Howie each hugged her. She turned to Nick and grinned and jumped into his arms. Out of
all the guys, Nick was her best friend, the one who is always there for her.
“Hey Nicky,”
Hayley said.
“Hey girl,
it’s good to see ya,” Nick said.
“Where’s
Mandy?” Hayley asked.
“Not coming,
we broke up two weeks ago, she was too jealous of our friendship that she wanted me to choose between my relationship with
her and my friendship with you, I told her there was no way in hell that I would give up my friendship with you,” Nick
said. Hayley hugged him.
“I’m
sorry, Nicky,” Hayley said.
“It’s
okay, I’m over it already,” Nick said.
“Well, let’s
get on the boat,” Howie said. They all got on the ship and went to find their cabins. Hayley walked into her cabin and
looked around. She started to unpack and she went out and bumped into Nick as he was going down the hall.
“Hey girl,
where are you at,” Nick said. Hayley pointed. Nick looked at his keys and looked at her.
“Is it a double?”
Nick asked.
“Yeah, why,”
Hayley said.
“Hi roomie,”
Nick said. She looked at the cabin number on his keys and looked at hers.
“Wow,”
Hayley said. Nick went in and put his bag on the other bed.
“This is so
cool, you and me, roommates, I didn’t do it,” Nick said.
“Me either,”
Hayley said. They went up on deck and saw Brian and Leighanne talking with Kevin and Kristin. They saw them and smiled.
“Hey you two,
get settled into your cabins?” Brian asked.
“You mean cabin,
someone put me and Nick in the same cabin,” Hayley said.
“Someone put
you two in the same cabin?” Brian asked.
“Yeah, we don’t know who, though,” Hayley said. Brian and Leighanne looked at them.
“The cruise
was overbooked, we had to double up some people, sorry, guys,” Howie said coming up to them.
“We don’t
have a problem with it,” Nick said.
“Yeah,”
Hayley said.
“Cool,”
Howie said.
“Come on, Nicky,
let’s see what’s to do on this boat,” Hayley said grabbing his hand and pulling him off. Brian and Leighanne
looked at Howie, who was grinning.
“Do you think
they would make a great couple?” Howie asked.
“You put them
together on purpose,” Brian said. Howie smiled.
“Nick needs
someone like Hayley, she knows him better than anyone,” Howie said.
“I agree,”
Leighanne said. Brian looked at his wife and Howie and shrugged and laid back and relaxed.
Chapter 2
The next
night, things between Nick and Hayley were heating up. They were in their cabin, getting ready for dinner when they bumped
into each other and fell on the floor. Nick landed on top of her and they stared into each other’s eyes. Nick leaned
down and kissed her deeply. They removed each other’s clothes and made love. Afterwards, they laid there on the floor.
Nick kissed her forehead.
“I can’t believe we did that, it was amazing,”
Hayley said.
“Oh yeah,” Nick said holding her close.
“It was heaven,” Hayley said.
“Hayley, will you be my girl?” Nick asked.
“God yes,” Hayley said. He kissed her softly. They
got up and got dressed and straightened up and went to join everyone for dinner. They walked into the restaurant, holding
hands and grinning. Everyone smiled.
“What,” Nick said.
“Are you two together?” Howie asked.
“Yes,” Hayley said.
“Yup,” Nick said.
“About time,” Brian said. They sat down and talked
and ate dinner. Two hours later, they went back to the cabin and closed the door and locked it and Nick pulled Hayley close
and kissed her deeply. They moved over to the bed and laid down on the bed and removed each other’s clothes and made
love. Nick held her close as he fell asleep. Hayley laid there watching him and she knew he sailed right into her heart.
The End!
