Brizee arrived at her best friend’s house. She and Nick Carter have been best friends since birth and knew each other better than everyone else. She was best friends with his band mates, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, and AJ McLean. They treated her like a little sister.  Nick and Brizee have a special bond that could never be broken. Now here she was, at Nick’s house. She opened the door and went inside and saw Nick sitting out back. She went out back and sat in his lap.

      “Hey Nicky,” Brizee said.

      “Hey baby, what’s up,” Nick said.

      “I have to tell you something and I don’t know how you would take it, but I want you to know that I have thought long and hard about this and I know I’m making the right choice,” Brizee said.

      “What is it,” Nick said.

      “You know you are my best friend and I love you to pieces and I don’t ever want to lose you,” Brizee said.

      “I know, and I feel the same way,” Nick said.

      “AJ wants to have a baby, and he wants it to be with a friend he can trust, he doesn’t want to be with anyone, he just wants to have a kid,” Brizee said.

      “And he picked you,” Nick said.

      “Yeah,” Brizee said.

      “So you two are going to sleep together?” Nick said.

      “No,” Brizee said.

      “Oh the other way,” Nick said.

      “With the doctor’s help, I’ll get pregnant,” Brizee said.

      “Briz, I don’t know about this,” Nick said.

      “I’m just helping him out,” Brizee said.

      “Briz, you are still a virgin,” Nick said.

      “I know, I know, I suppose I can do it the old fashioned way,” Brizee said.

      “Brizee, no,” Nick said.

      “Nick, I have thought about this, I want to help AJ,” Brizee said. Nick looked at her.

      “I just don’t know about this,” Nick said.

      “I have to go, I’ll talk to you later,” Brizee said. She kissed his forehead and got up and went home.

Late that night, Brizee woke up to the doorbell ringing. She got up and put her robe on and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Nick standing there.

      “Nick, what are you doing here, it’s the middle of the night,” Brizee said.

      “Don’t do it,” Nick said.

      “Do what,” Brizee said.

      “Don’t have AJ’s baby,” Nick said.

      “Nick, I lied to you, I’m not going to have AJ’s baby, I’m going to have Brian’s baby, he and Leighanne have been trying to have a baby but nothing is working, so they asked me to be a surrogate mother,” Brizee said.

      “I don’t care, don’t do it,” Nick said.

      “Why not,” Brizee said.

      “Because I want you to have my baby,” Nick said.

      “Huh?” Brizee said.

      “I want you to have my baby, Briz, I always have,” Nick said. Her eyes widened as he pulled her close and kissed her deeply.

      “Oh god, Nick,” Brizee said.

      “Is that a yes?” Nick asked. She kissed him hungrily. He picked her up and carried her up to her bedroom and closed the door and locked it and laid her on the bed and laid on top of her.  They pulled each other’s clothes off.

      “Make love to me, Nicky, make me yours forever,” Brizee said.

      “Only you, Briz,” Nick said.  He gently and slowly made love to her. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other.

      “Are you sure you want a baby with me?” Brizee asked.

      “Yes,” Nick said. He laid on top of her.

      “I don’t know what I’m going to tell Brian and Leighanne,” Brizee said.

      “The truth,” Nick said. He kissed her hungrily. He made love to her again. They laid there afterwards.

      “Are we still best friends or a couple?” Brizee said. Nick looked at her. She looked at him.

      “Best friends,” Brizee said. Nick closed his eyes. He opened them and looked at her.

      “Briz, we’ll talk more later, okay, let’s just sleep,” Nick said.

      “Okay, don’t leave me,” Brizee said.

      “Don’t plan on it,” Nick said. They went to sleep holding each other.

Chapter 2

The next morning, Brizee woke up and saw Nick watching her.

      “Hey beautiful,” Nick said.

      “Hey, is it morning?” Brizee asked.

      “Yeah,” Nick said.

      “We should talk,” Brizee said.

      “Briz, I don’t want to lose our friendship,” Nick said sitting up.

      “I don’t either, but I can’t help how I feel,” Brizee said.

      “What do you mean?” Nick asked.

      “I’m in love with you, Nicky, always have been,” Brizee said. He laid on top of her.

      “I am in love with you, too,” Nick said. He kissed her softly.  He made love to her again.  Afterwards, he pulled her close.

      “Will you be my girl?” Nick asked.

      “Always,” Brizee said resting her head on his chest.

The doorbell rang. Brizee got up and got dressed and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Brian and Leighanne.

      “Hey girl,” Brian said hugging her.

      “Hey,” Brizee said. Brian and Leighanne came in and sat down. Brizee sat down.

      “We came to talk to you about the surrogate thing, Brizee, we made an appointment for tomorrow at 3:00 for them to do the procedure,” Brian said.

      “She’s not doing it,” Nick said coming into the living room.

      “And why not,” Leighanne said.

      “She’s going to have my baby,” Nick said.

      “Brizee, you’re pregnant?” Brian asked.

      “No, I’m not, but thanks to him, I might be,” Brizee said.

      “Did you go to the doctor?” Brian asked.

      “No, it’s way too early to find out,” Brizee said.

      “You two had sex last night?” Leighanne said.

      “And this morning,” Nick said.

      “I can’t believe this!” Brian said.

      “Nick, are you stupid, Brizee wanted to help us, it was her idea,” Leighanne said.

      “I don’t care,” Nick said.

      “Nick, me and Leighanne want a baby, we need someone to carry the baby because Leighanne can’t,” Brian said.

      “Find someone else, okay,” Nick said.

      “We want Brizee because we can trust her,” Brian said.

      “Maybe you should find someone else to be your wife who can have your kid!” Nick said.

      “I can’t believe you said that!” Leighanne said.

      “Let’s just go, and leave my EX-best friend alone,” Brian said. Brian and Leighanne hugged Brizee and left. Brizee stood up and looked at Nick.

      “I refuse to speak to you,” Brizee said. She went out back. Nick grabbed his coat and left.

Three months later, everything was different. Nick was out of control, going to clubs every night, getting drunk, sleeping with girls. Kevin, Howie, and AJ noticed the tension when Brian and Nick were in the same room together. They were also worried about Nick’s partying. AJ went to a club and found Nick flirting with two girls. He walked over to them.

      “Bone, man, come join us, girls, this is AJ,” Nick said.

      “Hi, um, Nick, we need to talk, excuse us, ladies,” AJ said. The girls went someone else. AJ sat down.

      “What’s up,” Nick said ordering another drink.

      “You need help,” AJ said.

      “What,” Nick said.

      “Nick, you are out of control here, partying a lot, getting drunk,” AJ said.

      “It’s fun,” Nick said.

      “No, it’s not, man, you are out of control, I was there, it’s not fun, you will end up paying the price, stop while there is still time,” AJ said.

      “Well, that was you, okay, I’m not you,” Nick said.

      “Nick, it’s only going to get worse, stop now before it does,” AJ said. Nick smirked.

      “Yeah right,” Nick said.

      “You are only hurting the ones who love you,” AJ said.

      “Who loves me, huh, Brian doesn’t, Brizee doesn’t, no one cares about me anymore, I lost my two best friends because of my stupid mouth,” Nick said.

      “Kevin, Howie and I still care about you, okay, and your family,” AJ said.

      “I hardly see my family, they are too busy with Aaron’s career to even call me,” Nick said.

      “That’s not true,” Bob said coming up to them.

      “What are you doing here, Dad,” Nick said.

      “Helping you, like I always said I would,” Bob said.

      “Who called you,” Nick said.

      “I called him, Nick,” AJ said.

      “Why can’t you just leave me alone, okay, I don’t have a problem,” Nick said.

      “Yes, you do,” Bob said.

      “Nick, this is not the way to cope with everything, if you just apologize to Brian and Leighanne,” AJ said.

      “I won’t, I hate Leighanne, always have!” Nick said.

      “Nick, what is wrong with Leighanne,” AJ said.

      “Two things, first, she takes away my Frick, and second, she wants the woman I love to have her and Brian’s child,” Nick said.

      “Leighanne AND Brian want Brizee to have their child, not just Leighanne,” AJ said.

      “She turned Brian against me, I lost my best friend, my buddy because of her, Brian and I would always play basketball, now that they are married, everytime I want to go play basketball, he stands me up because he has to be with her, he doesn’t bother to call and tell me he can’t make it,” Nick said.

      “Nick,” AJ said.

      “Forget it, I’ll go somewhere else, just leave me alone, both of you,” Nick said. He walked out to the club and went to another club. He looked around and went to the bar and ordered a drink.

      “Hi Nick,” Willa said.

      “Hi,” Nick said.

      “How’s it going,” Willa said.

      “Fine, leave me alone,” Nick said.

      “Come on, Nick, I thought we were friends,” Willa said.

      “I don’t want any friends right now, just leave me alone,” Nick said. He took a drink.

      “Taking it easy, I see,” Willa said.

      “Willa, please leave me alone,” Nick said.

      “All right, see ya,” Willa said. She walked off. Nick sat there.

AJ and Bob went to Brizee’s house where Kevin, Howie, Brizee, Brian, Leighanne, and Jane were.

      “We found him, but he denies having a problem,” AJ said.

      “I don’t understand why he hates me,” Leighanne said.

      “Brian,” AJ said.

      “What,” Brian said.

      “He hates you because of Brian, he’s upset because he lost his Frick,” AJ said.

      “So he hates Leighanne because he lost me,” Brian said.

      “He felt like he lost his best buddy because of her,” AJ said.

      “He could have told me how he felt,” Brian said.

      “But would you have listened, like when he wanted to play basketball, you would not show up or even call to cancel,” AJ said.

      “AJ, don’t start with me,” Brian said.

      “But it’s the truth, right,” AJ said.

      “So this is my fault,” Brian said.

      “Pretty much,” AJ said. The phone rang. Brizee picked it up.

      “Hello,” Brizee said.

      “Ms. Hardin, this is Officer Smith with the Orlando Police, we need you to come down to the station,” Officer Smith said.

      “What’s this about?” Brizee said.

      “You were requested to come down here,” Officer Smith said.

      “All right, I will come down,” Brizee said. She hung up.

      “What was that about?” Brian said.

      “That was Officer Smith of the Orlando Police, they want me to come down to the station, I was requested,” Brizee said.

      “It has to be Nick,” AJ said.

      “This is going to look good for us,” Brian said.

      “I’ll call and let you know what’s going on,” Brizee said. She left and went to the police station. She walked in.

      “Hi, I’m Brizee Hardin, Officer Smith called and asked me to come down,” Brizee said to the woman at the front desk.

      “Down the hall,” the woman said. Brizee walked down the hall and found Officer Smith’s office.

      “Officer Smith, I’m Brizee Hardin,” Brizee said.

            “Ms. Hardin, thank you for coming, I’m Officer Morgan, Officer Smith asked me to fill in for him, he’s out on patrol, follow me,” Officer Morgan said. He took her to a room and had her take a seat. He left the room. Brizee sat there.  The door opened and her ex-boyfriend, Adam, was brought in. Officer Morgan smiled and left the room.

Chapter 3

Brizee sat there looking at Adam as he grinned at her. She sat there shaking.

      “What do you want,” Brizee said.

      “You, baby, guess what, I’m getting out and we can be together again,” Adam said.

      “No, no,” Brizee said, Officer Morgan came in and uncuffed Adam and left the room and shut the door and locked it from the outside. Adam smiled at her.

      “I have made friends with Officer Morgan,” Adam said.

      “Oh god, leave me alone!” Brizee said trying to run from him.

      “You can run from me,” Adam said. He grabbed her and pushed her against the wall.

      “Let me go!” Brizee said.

      “You are mine, Brizee, you always have been,” Adam said.

      “No!” Brizee said crying. He ripped open her shirt and ran his free hand down her chest.

      “Baby, you have changed,” Adam said.

      “I’m pregnant, you jerk, that’s how I have changed,” Brizee said. Adam got up.

      “Pregnant, and who is the lucky guy,” Adam said.

      “Nick is the father, but he doesn’t even know, right now I am not speaking to him,” Brizee said. Adam knocked on the door. Brizee held her shirt closed. Officer Morgan opened the door.

      “Did you do it,” Officer Morgan said.

      “I can’t, she’s pregnant, and I know the father, he’ll kill me if I hurt her or the baby, just let her go,” Adam said.

      “I thought you wanted her back,” Officer Morgan said.

      “I did, but now, I can’t have her, because she belongs with the one she truly loves, I messed up, man, I screwed up,” Adam said. Officer Smith came in.

      “What the hell is going on,” Officer Smith said. Brizee told him everything. Officer Smith put Adam in handcuffs.

      “Officer Morgan, I will make sure the chief knows what you did,” Officer Smith said. Brizee grabbed her purse and left. She went home and saw everyone. Brian came over to her.

      “What happened,” Brian said. She burst out crying and he held her close. He took her upstairs. She told him everything.

      “He’s getting out, he might have just said that to throw me off and then show up when I least expect it,” Brizee said crying.

      “I won’t let that happen,” Brian said.

      “Oh god, what if he goes after Nick, I mean, he hates Nick, now he hates him even more,” Brizee said.

      “Because you are three months pregnant with Nick’s baby,” Brian said.

      “Yeah, I’m scared, I have to find Nick and tell him,” Brizee said. She changed her shirt and went downstairs and grabbed AJ and pulled him out the door.

      “You are going to take me to the clubs and help me find Nick,” Brizee said.

      “Brizee, he wants to be left alone,” AJ said.

      “I don’t care,” Brizee said. They went to a club and she ran in and looked around. She saw Nick making out with a girl in the corner. She walked over to him.

      “Hey, stop kissing my husband!” Brizee said pulling the girl away. She pushed the girl away.

      “Bitch,” the girl said.

      “Oh, don’t go there, I can pound your ass,” Brizee said.

      “I suggest you go now,” AJ said. The girl ran off. Brizee turned and looked at Nick.

      “What are you doing here,” Nick said.

      “Get him, AJ,” Brizee said. AJ grabbed Nick. Kevin came up and helped AJ take Nick out to the car. They got in and went back to Brizee’s house. Kevin and AJ brought Nick in and Nick saw Brian and Leighanne.

      “What is going on,” Nick said.

      “Nick, shut up and listen to what Brizee has to say,” AJ said.

      “Adam is getting out of jail, Officer Smith called me down, I went down there, and it wasn’t Officer Smith who called me, it was Officer Morgan who was buddies with Adam, he took me to a room and then he brought Adam in and uncuffed Adam and locked the door with me and Adam inside, Adam tried to rape me,” Brizee said. Nick’s eyes widened.

      “What happened next,” Nick said.

      “He stopped when he found out how I changed,” Brizee said.

      “Huh,” Nick said.

      “I’m three months pregnant,” Brizee said.

      “That stopped him,” Nick said.

      “Yeah, because it’s your baby, and he knew what you would do to him if he hurt me,” Brizee said.

      “Wait, you are having my baby?” Nick asked.

      “Yes, it’s yours,” Brizee said.

      “Oh god, I need air,” Nick said. He went out back. Jane went out back.

      “Nick, your father told me what you have been doing along with the guys,” Jane said.

      “I’m going to be a father, I have to stop drinking, the partying, and be there for Brizee, if she’ll let me,” Nick said.

      “Of course I want you there,” Brizee said coming out. Brian and Leighanne behind her.

      “Leighanne’s sister agreed to carry our baby, and Frack, we have to talk,” Brian said.

      “I’m sorry for what I said, I don’t hate you, Leighanne, you make Brian happy, it’s just that I miss what he and I had before you came into his life,” Nick said. Leighanne came over to him and hugged him.

      “I understand how you felt, Nick, when they told me why you said what you said, Brian and I talked about it, he and I have a lifetime together, I can’t come between you and him, you two had a special bond and I want you two to get that back, you can have your Frick again,” Leighanne said.

      “Leighanne, I know how much he loves you, I can’t do that to you,” Nick said.

      “Nicky, it’s okay, Brian’s been your best friend longer than he has known me, you are important to him, you are his Frack,” Leighanne said.

      “Are you sure about this,” Nick said.

      “Nick, I’m sure, okay, I’ve heard stories about you two, just don’t gang up on me, okay,” Leighanne said.

      “Okay,” Nick said.

      “Okay, then,” Leighanne said. Brian, Leighanne and Jane went inside. Nick stood there looking at Brizee.

Chapter 4

Brizee looked at him. Nick sat down and closed his eyes. Brizee sat down beside him.

      “I’m sorry for everything, I was out of control and I was in pain, because you didn’t want anything to do with me, I thought I lost you forever, I didn’t know how to deal with it,” Nick said.

      “There is something called not giving up, Nick you know me better than anyone,” Brizee said.

      “Briz, I love you, always have, and I know I always will, now we are having a baby, you have no idea how happy I am, and how much I want to be better,” Nick said.

      “Nicky, stay away from the clubs and the booze, and the girls,” Brizee said.

      “No more partying, no more clubs, well, except Howie’s club, can’t stay away from there,” Nick said.

      “Every club except D’s, come here,” Brizee said holding out her arms. He went into them and rested his head on her chest as she held him close.

      “I love you so much,” Nick said.

      “I love you, too,” Brizee said.

Six months later, Brizee gave birth to a baby girl they named Alexis Renee Carter. Leighanne’s sister gave birth two months after Brizee gave birth to a baby boy. They named him Baylee Thomas Littrell. Nick and Brizee brought Alexis home and were sitting out on the balcony of their bedroom.

      “I’m glad we got married before we had Alexis, I love being your wife,” Brizee said.

      “I love being your husband, and I would go anywhere for you,” Nick said. He sang Anywhere For You to Brizee and they watched the sunset.
