Nick sat in his dressing room thinking about stuff. The door opened and his best friend, Hayley, came in.

“Hey Nicky,” Hayley said.

“Hey,” Nick said.

“You okay, Nicky,” Hayley said.

“Yeah, just thinking,” Nick said.

“Let’s see, tall, handsome, older, big brother,” Hayley said.

“You know me too well,” Nick said.

“What did he do now?” Hayley asked.

“He doesn’t want to go public,” Nick said.

“With you two?” Hayley asked.

“Yeah, it’s like he’s not proud to be with me,” Nick said.

“Nick, maybe he doesn’t want anyone thinking that because you two are together, everyone will stop liking you guys, I mean, all the fans think you guys are hot and want you guys, what do you think will happen when everyone finds out that you and Kevin are a couple, maybe it’s better that no one knows but me, Brian, Howie, and AJ,” Hayley said.

“You always know what to say,” Nick said.

“Yeah, now go find him and make up with him,” Hayley said.

“I said some awful things,” Nick said.

“Come on, Nick, just apologize and be happy,” Hayley said.

“I don’t know if he’ll talk to me,” Nick said.

“I’ll go talk to him, wait here,” Hayley said. She went out and found Kevin kissing his ex, Kristin.

“Kevin,” Hayley said. Kevin pulled away and saw Hayley.

“Hey Hayley,” Kevin said.

“Hi Hayley,” Kristin said.

“Can I talk to Kevin alone, please,” Hayley said. Kristin went to Kevin’s dressing room. Hayley stood there glaring at Kevin.

“Hayley,” Kevin said.

“How could you, Kevin, kissing your ex, you aren’t even broken up with Nick!” Hayley said quietly.

“I was planning on it,” Kevin said.

“Why,” Hayley said.

“Because I am still in love with Kristin, I can’t be with Nick in public, I was fooling myself,” Kevin said.

“He was going to talk to you and apologize and everything but you have ruined that,” Hayley said.

“I will talk to him,” Kevin said. He went to Nick’s dressing room. Brian, AJ, and Howie came up to her.

“Hayley, what’s going on,” Brian said. Hayley told them everything. They heard Nick shout and a glass break. Kevin came out and closed the door behind him and went to his dressing room. Hayley looked at the guys and went to Nick’s dressing room and went in and saw Nick curled up in a ball on the couch, crying. Hayley sat down beside him. He sat up and she held him close. He buried his face in her neck and cried. He laid down with his head in her lap and cried. She stroked his forehead and looked up and saw Brian, AJ, and Howie standing in the doorway.

Chapter 2

Two weeks later, Nick never spoke to Kevin again. Kevin got back together with Kristin. Brian, AJ, and Howie were polite but hated what Kevin did to Nick. Nick became a player. He would sleep with girls and then dump them. AJ and Hayley became a couple. Nick, being like a brother to Hayley, tried to talk her out of it but she said that she wasn’t a little girl and she can do what she wants. Nick realized that AJ wouldn’t hurt a girl on purpose and he knew AJ was crazy about her. They were always making out. Nick went into his dressing room and saw Hayley and AJ making out on the couch.

“Can’t you two do this in AJ’s dressing room?” Nick asked.

“Sorry, he came in here,” Hayley said.

“I don’t care, sorry to interrupt,” Nick said. He got ready for the show. AJ kissed Hayley and went to his own dressing room to get ready.

“You okay, Nicky,” Hayley said.

“Kevin tried to talk to me, tried to get me to understand why he got back with Kristin, I told him to fuck off and leave me alone,” Nick said.

“Good,” Hayley said. Nick sat down beside her.

“I am so glad that I have you, if you weren’t here for me, I would be in a deep hole,” Nick said.

“Nick, you were always there for me, I am always there for you, we are a team, we take care of each other,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her forehead and hugged her.

“I never want to be without you in my life,” Nick said.

“You never will be,” Hayley said. Kevin came in.

“Nick,” Kevin said.

“Get out, Kevin,” Hayley said.

“I have to talk to Nick,” Kevin said.

“No, I won’t let you, he told you to leave him alone, get the fuck out of here,” Hayley said angrily.

“This doesn’t concern you,” Kevin said.

“Oh yes it does, he is my best friend, and you broke his heart, you wanted to show everyone that you don’t have anything to hide, well, you are with Kristin and you have gone public, who cares about Nick, huh, well I care about him more than you ever could, just leave him alone, Kevin,” Hayley said.

“I love him!” Kevin said. Nick’s eyes widened.

“What!” Hayley said. Brian, AJ, and Howie came in.

“What did you say, cuz,” Brian said.

“I love Nick, I want to be with him, I broke up with Kristin, I want to be with Nick, and I won’t break his heart again,” Kevin said.

“I have to think about it,” Nick said.

“Just let him think about it, Kevin, don’t bother him, let him come to you,” Hayley said. Kevin nodded and left the room.

Chapter 3

Three weeks later, Nick sat there thinking and looked at Kevin as he talked with Brian. Their eyes met and they stared at each other. Hayley sat down and put her hand on Nick’s leg.

“Hey Nicky, what are you thinking about?” Hayley asked.

“Maybe giving him another chance,” Nick said.

“Nick, you have to be sure it’s what you want, what if you give him the chance and he hurts you again, he has got to prove that he won’t hurt you again,” Hayley said.

“I know, Hayley, you don’t need to be protective of me,” Nick said.

“I’m not trying to be, I don’t want you to get hurt again, I’m your best friend, and you are mine,” Hayley said.

“Maybe you should butt out of my life!” Nick said angrily.

“What is wrong with you!” Hayley said.

“I’m sick of you butting into my life! I don’t care if we are best friends or not! It’s my life, not yours!” Nick yelled. Brian and Kevin looked at them. Hayley ran down the hall crying. Kevin went to find AJ. Brian came over to Nick.

“Why did you do that, she was just being your friend!” Brian said.

“Leave me alone!” Nick said. He went to his dressing room.

AJ found Hayley sitting on a bench in the park. He sat down and pulled her close.

“Baby, Kevin told me what happened,” AJ said.

“I was just trying to be his friend, I was trying to show him that I care for him, why was he like that to me!” Hayley said crying.

“I don’t know, baby, but you will always have me,” AJ said.

“Remember what you asked me last night?” Hayley asked crying.

“Yeah, I asked you to let me make love to you, but you said you wanted to wait, I understand and I will wait forever for you,” AJ said.

“No more waiting, I want you to make love to me,” Hayley said.

“Hayley, you are upset, I don’t want you to regret it,” AJ said.

“I won’t, I love you, Alex,” Hayley said. He kissed her deeply. They went to his dressing room at the venue and closed the door and locked it. He turned on some music and they kissed deeply.

“Are you sure about this?” AJ asked.

“Be my first, Alex, I need you,” Hayley said. He kissed her deeply and removed her clothes and removed his and moved her over to the couch and laid her down and he laid on top of her and he slowly and gently made love to her. They were laying there holding each other afterwards when there was pounding on the door. AJ got up and got dressed. Hayley got dressed. AJ opened the door and saw Brian standing there. Brian saw Hayley.

“Nick tried to kill himself,” Brian said.

“That’s crazy, he wouldn’t do that!” Hayley said.

“He did, he slit his wrists open, god knows what would have happened if we didn’t get him to the hospital, he lost a lot of blood,” Brian said. Hayley looked at AJ. They went to the hospital.

Chapter 4

Hayley sat there looking at Nick as he stared out the window. He looked at her.

"I don't want you here," Nick said.

"Tough shit, Nick, I'm here whether you like it or not, I still care about you, how could you try to kill yourself," Hayley said.

"You wouldn't understand," Nick said.

"Nick, you know you can talk to me, we always have been able to talk to each other about anything," Hayley said.

"I can't talk to you like that anymore because ever since you got together with AJ, I hardly get to hang out with you anymore, it's like I lost my best friend, and I know you care but you keep after me on what I should and should not do," Nick said.

"You were this way because I'm with AJ?" Hayley asked.

"Yeah, I was just so use to having you as my best friend and all to myself, but when you started dating AJ, it was like I was losing you, I was scared," Nick said.

"Nicky, you won't lose me, ever, you and I have something that me and AJ don't have, we have each other, we have known each other forever and no one can replace you in my life, I love you, Nicky, you are my bestest friend and I would be lost without you in my life," Hayley said.

"I love you, too, and I would be lost without you, what would I do without you in my life," Nick said. She hugged him.

"Don't you dare scare me like that again, don't try to kill yourself, talk to me or Brian, or Howie or AJ, don't shut anyone out, now about Kevin, if you want to give him another chance, go for it," Hayley whispered in his ear.

"I just might," Nick said. She kissed his forehead.

"I'll send him in if you want me to," Hayley said. Nick nodded. Hayley went out the door and saw Kevin standing there with Brian.

"Is he okay," Kevin said.

"Yeah, he wants to see you, Kevin," Hayley said. Kevin went into Nick's room.

"What was wrong with him," Brian said.

"He was afraid of losing me, because I'm with AJ, it was like he was losing me, he was scared," Hayley said.

"AJ left, he was mad, he went in there and he came out mad and left, Howie went to find him," Brian said. Howie came back.

"I couldn't find him," Howie said.

"Why would he take off like that, why would he be mad," Hayley said.

"I don't know," Howie said. Hayley went to Nick's room and quietly opened the door and saw Nick and Kevin in a heated kiss. She smiled and closed the door. She looked at Brian. He peeked in and smiled.

"They are back together," Brian whispered.

"I'm going to find AJ, make sure no one goes in there," Hayley said.

"You bet," Howie said. Hayley left and went home and looked around and it was quiet. She went out back and looked around. She went back inside and AJ came in the front door. He saw her. She could tell that he was drunk. She smelled the alcohol. He came over to her and pushed her against the wall.

"How dare you," AJ said.

"AJ, what is wrong with you," Hayley said.

"I heard what you said to Nick, you love him, why not be with him!" AJ said angrily.

"Are you crazy, Nick and Kevin are back together, Nick is my best friend, and I do love him, you know that!" Hayley said.

"I don't care, I want to be the one you love," AJ said.

"You are, but not when you are drunk!" Hayley said.

"I want to be the ONLY one you love, I don't want you loving him, I want you loving only me!" AJ said.

"Don't tell me what to do, AJ," Hayley said. He slapped her.

"Don't talk back to me!" AJ said. Hayley struggled to get away. He threw her down on the floor and pinned her down with one hand and ripped her clothes off and he removed his clothes and he raped her. She cried softly as she felt pain. He got up after he was done and put his clothes on and went out the door. She laid there crying. She heard the door opened and close and she heard voices.

Chapter 5

Nick and Kevin walked into Hayley's house. They noticed it was quiet.

"I can't believe they released me early, I will feel better here, I need to get caught up with Hayley, we need to rebuild our friendship," Nick said. He looked at Kevin. Kevin was staring at something. Nick followed his gaze and saw Hayley on the floor, naked, curled up in a ball and crying. Nick slowly moved over and knelt down beside her.

"Hayley, my god, what happened!" Nick said pulling her into his arms.

"AJ, he....." Hayley said before she stared sobbing.

"What did he do?" Kevin said putting a blanket over her.

"He raped me!" Hayley said.

"What!" Nick said.

"He heard me tell you that I loved you, even though he knew I loved you in the best friend sort of way, but he got mad and went and got drunk, I came home thinking he was waiting for me here, but he wasn't, he came in and pushed me against the wall, he slapped me and threw me on the floor and pinned me down and raped me," Hayley said crying. Nick looked at Kevin. Kevin nodded and went out the door. Nick sat there holding Hayley. Brian and Howie came in.

"What happened?!" Brian said kneeling down.

"AJ raped her," Nick said.

"And he was drunk!" Hayley said crying.

"Kevin went to find him," Nick said.

"I'll go help him," Howie said. He went out the door. Brian picked Hayley up and laid her on the couch. Nick slowly sat on the couch. Hayley laid her head in his lap.

"He said he wanted to be the only one I loved, he heard me tell you that I love you, he knows I love you as a best friend, he knows you and Kevin are a couple," Hayley said.

"Liquor makes people do crazy things, remember what happened when I got drunk," Nick said.

"You came and beat me up, but I knew it wasn't you, it was the liquor," Hayley said.

"See, it makes you do crazy things," Nick said.

"Why are you making excuses for him," Hayley said.

"Hayley, would AJ rape you if he was sober?" Nick asked.

"No, he wouldn't," Hayley said.

"See, it was the liquor," Nick said. Hayley laid there thinking of what he said. She knew he was right.

Chapter 6

The next day, Hayley was sleeping. She woke up and saw Nick sitting there looking at her.

"What I said last night, I'm sorry for what I said about the liquor making him do that, I don't know why I got drunk and beat you, but I know it was wrong of AJ to rape you, I don't want you giving him another chance, not after what he did, he raped you, Hayley, that is so wrong, you should press charges," Nick said.

"What would that do to you guys, huh, the press will get all this and nothing would be the same," Hayley said.

"Who cares, Hayley, he shouldn't just get away with what he did!" Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

"The police will say he was drunk and wasn't thinking clearly," Hayley said. Nick looked at her.

"No, they won't, it doesn't matter if he was drunk or not, rape is rape," Nick said. Hayley looked out the window.

"I still love him," Hayley said.

"I know you do, but he has got to realize that he made a mistake and there is no going back," Nick said.

"I know, that's why he isn't getting another chance, it is over between me and AJ, I can't take him back," Hayley said. Nick took her hand.

"I'm here for you," Nick said.

"You always are, and I'm glad," Hayley said. Nick leaned down and kissed her forehead. Kevin came in.

"AJ is here," Kevin said.

"Tell him to leave and never come back," Hayley said.

"You two should talk, I'll stay here so you won't be alone," Nick said.

"Send him in," Hayley said. Kevin went downstairs. AJ came into the bedroom and stood there.

"Hayley, I'm sorry," AJ said.

"Do you think sorry is going to do anything, you raped me, AJ, you hurt me in the worse possible way, yeah, Nick may have gotten drunk and beat me but he did not rape me, he wasn't my boyfriend, he was in a bad state of mind and I forgave him, he is my bestest friend and I have known him forever, but I can't say the same for you, I can't forgive you or give you another chance, we are over, don't bother to fight it, if you do, I will press charges, and Nick and Kevin will back me up if the police don't believe me, they found me after you raped me, I have my clothes that you tore off of me, Nick got pics of the bruises on my body, so don't bother trying to beg for another chance because I can't be with you anymore," Hayley said.

"Hayley," AJ said.

"Don't, AJ, don't try it, I loved you, but I didn't love you while you were drunk, you deeply hurt me, you told me that I couldn't love anyone but you, you knew that I love Nick, you knew that I wouldn't be with him, but you hurt me, you told me that you wanted to be the only one I loved, you understood that I love Nick," Hayley said.

"I know you do, I do understand," AJ said.

"But you raped me, AJ, you hurt me worse than anyone ever could, I can't go back to the way things were, I can't be with you again, ever," Hayley said.

"I wasn't myself," AJ said.

"I know you weren't, but I can't be with you ever again, I told you don't beg for another chance or I will press charges," Hayley said.

"I understand, but I truly am sorry, I hope someday we can be friends, goodbye," AJ said. He went out the door. Nick sat down on the bed and hugged her as she cried.

Chapter 7

Nick went downstairs after Hayley went to sleep. He saw Kevin sitting on the couch. Nick sat down next to him.

"Hayley asleep?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah, I can't believe AJ, why did he do that to her," Nick said.

"I don't know," Kevin said.

Three months went by. Hayley was over AJ and she just found out that she was pregnant. She knew it was AJ's baby. Nick came in and saw her sitting on the bed. He sat down.

"What did the doctor say?" Nick asked.

"I'm three months pregnant," Hayley said.

"I'll be here for you, me and Kevin will," Nick said.

"I suppose I should tell AJ, he has a right to know," Hayley said.

"Yeah," Nick said. He called AJ over. Hayley went downstairs and sat on the couch and waited. AJ came in and saw her and sat down.

"Hey," AJ said.

"Hi," Hayley said.

"What's up," AJ said.

"There is something you should know," Hayley said.

"What is it?" AJ said.

"I'm three months pregnant," Hayley said.

"It's mine, I know it, it must have been when I raped you," AJ said.

"Yeah," Hayley said.

"I know we can't be together anymore, but I will be there for the baby," AJ said.

"I know you will, I don't want my baby growing up without its father," Hayley said. AJ nodded.

"Like I did," AJ said.

"AJ, I don't know what it's like growing up without a father, but I don't want the same for our baby, I want you to be there for the baby," Hayley said. AJ took her hand.

"I will be, I want to be there for our baby," AJ said.

"I know you will," Hayley said.

Three months later.....

Hayley sat in her house waiting for AJ to come take her to a doctor's appointment. Nick came in.

"Hey girl," Nick said.

"Hey, how are things between you and Kevin," Hayley said.

"Great, god, he is amazing, we have gotten closer than ever," Nick said.

"Where is AJ?" Hayley asked.

"I don't know, haven't heard from him," Nick said.

"I'm going to be late, can you take me to my doctor's appointment," Hayley said.

"Sure," Nick said. They went to the doctor. Two hours later, they came back to her house and sat down.

"I can't believe him, doesn't he want to be a father?" Hayley asked.

"Yeah, he does," Nick said. AJ came running in.

"Hayley, I am so sorry, I feel so stupid," AJ said.

"You missed another appointment, AJ," Hayley said.

"I know I did, and I'm sorry, I overslept," AJ said.

"You use the same excuse every time, I don't know why I bother," Hayley said. AJ sat down next to her.

"Hayley, I do want to be a father, I am so sorry that I wasn't there," AJ said. She looked at him.

"If you miss another appointment, then that is it, I can't take anymore of this crap, either you are with me on this pregnancy or you aren't, take your pick," Hayley said.

"I swear, I won't miss another appointment," AJ said.

"I'll let you know when it is," Hayley said. AJ nodded and left. Hayley looked at Nick and sat there thinking about everything.

Chapter 8

A month later, Hayley was sitting there waiting for AJ. She called his house but no one answered. She called Denise. She said she hadn't seen AJ. Hayley hung up the phone and she knew he wasn't going to show up so she went out to her car and drove to the doctor's. After she was done, she headed home and she crossed an intersection and a car crashed into hers. Everything went black.

Nick and Kevin were sitting in Nick's house watching TV when the phone rang. Nick grabbed it.

"Hello, yes, this is Nick, what, oh my god, okay, I'll be right there," Nick said. He hung up the phone.

"Nicky," Kevin said.

"Hayley was in a car accident, she's in the hospital on life support, they are trying to keep her and the baby alive," Nick said.

"Let's go," Kevin said. They went to the hospital. They called Brian and Howie on the way. They went into the hospital and went to the nurse's station.

"Excuse me, miss, but where is Hayley Hardin?" Kevin asked.

"ICU, room 180, are you family?" she asked.

"We are her brothers," Kevin said.

"Go on," she said. Nick and Kevin went to the room and went in and saw her lying there hooked up to machines. A doctor came in.

"Are you two related to Hayley?" he asked.

"Brothers," Kevin said.

"Blood relatives?" he asked.

"No, not blood, I have known her all my life, she is like a sister to me, please don't make us leave, I can't leave her," Nick said.

"Doctor, is she going to live?" Kevin asked.

"We are doing everything we can to keep her alive, but right now it's up to her and God," the doctor said. Nick sat down and took her hand into his. He held it to his cheek and tears ran down his cheeks.

"Hayley, it's Nick, you have to live, what would I do without you, what would I do without my best friend, you keep me going, you told me you would never leave me, you have to live, there is so much we haven't done yet, I love you, girl, you know that, I can't do anything without you," Nick said crying. He kissed her hand. AJ came running in. Kevin looked at him.

"Oh god," AJ said.

"It's your fault, AJ, you should have took her to the doctor but you didn't show up, now she might not live," Nick said.

"I was busy," AJ said.

"You know what she said the last time you missed an appointment," Nick said. AJ sat down.

"I know, but I was working on something," AJ said.

"She won't take anymore excuses, just go," Nick said.

"She's pregnant with my child!" AJ said.

"She might die, so might your child, just get out of here, I know she doesn't want you here," Nick said. AJ looked at Kevin. He went out the door.

Chapter 9

Nick sat there watching Hayley and holding her hand. Kevin sat beside him.

“It’s been three weeks, Nick, she hasn’t woken up,” Kevin said.

“I know, but she is still alive and so is the baby,” Nick said looking at the monitors.

“Will you be okay while I’m gone,” Kevin said.

“You are only going to be gone for a week, I’ll be fine,” Nick said.

“Call me if anything happens,” Kevin said.

“I will,” Nick said. Kevin looked around and kissed Nick on the mouth and went out the door. Nick sat there. The machines started going off. Nick looked and saw a flatline.

“No, Hayley, don’t leave me!” Nick said crying. Doctors came in and started to work on her. Nick stood there out of the way watching and praying. Dr. Harris came over to him.

“Nick, we have to remove the baby, if we don’t, Hayley will die, we need your permission,” Dr. Harris said.

“Do what you have to do to keep Hayley alive,” Nick said. Dr. Harris nodded and they wheeled Hayley down to surgery. Nick sat down. Brian and Howie came up to him and he told them what happened. Nick leaned against the wall. His cell phone rang. He looked at the caller id and saw it was Kevin.

“Hello,” Nick said.

“Nick, I’m just checking in before I get on the plane, any changes?” Kevin asked.

“After you left, the machines started beeping, god, they are removing the baby, Kev, I told them to do what they have to do to save Hayley,” Nick said.

“Do you want me to come back?” Kevin asked.

“Brian and Howie are here, I’ll be okay, your mom needs you, I’ll be fine, Brian is here so I’ll be okay, he is my best friend,” Nick said.

“I know, but I can be there if you want me to,” Kevin said. Nick shook his head.

“Your mother needs you more than me, I’ll be fine, I’m a big boy,” Nick said.

“Okay, okay, I’ll call you when I get to Kentucky,” Kevin said.

“Okay, talk to you later,” Nick said.

“Bye,” Kevin said.

“Bye,” Nick said. He hung up and sat back and closed his eyes.

Chapter 10

Nick sat there waiting for word on Hayley. Dr. Harris came out. Nick looked at him.

“We got the baby out and the baby is alive, we have her in NICU, her lungs aren’t fully developed yet and we are going to keep a close eye on her,” Dr. Harris said.

“What about Hayley?” Nick asked.

“She is in recovery, you can go in and see her,” Dr. Harris said. Nick went to recovery and saw Hayley. He sat down next to the bed and held her hand. She opened her eyes and looked at him.

“Nicky,” Hayley said.

“Hey, I’m here, and I’m not leaving until you do,” Nick said.

“My baby?” Hayley said.

“Your baby is in NICU, they are watching her closely, you have a baby girl,” Nick said.

“My baby’s alive?” Hayley asked.

“Yes, her lungs aren’t fully developed,” Nick said.

“Where’s everyone at?” Hayley asked.

“Kevin’s in Kentucky with his mom, Brian and Howie are out in the waiting room,” Nick said.

“Was AJ here?” Hayley asked.

“Yeah, but I told him to leave, he made up some excuse, he was working on something,” Nick said.

“I don’t care, he is never coming near me or my child ever,” Hayley said.

“I’ll be there for you, Hayley,” Nick said.

“I know you will, Nicky,” Hayley said.

The next day, Nick sat in Hayley’s hospital room when AJ came in. Hayley saw him and looked away.

“Hayley,” AJ said.

“Go away, AJ,” Hayley said.

“Hayley, please, I was writing songs all day and lost track of time, I even wrote a song for you,” AJ said.

“I don’t care, AJ, you promised me, you promised that you wouldn’t miss another appointment, you did, now look what’s happened, our baby is fighting for her life, it will be all your fault if she dies,” Hayley said angrily. Nick looked at AJ.

“AJ, I don’t think you should be here,” Nick said.

“I am not going to let you boss me around, that is my daughter, too, and you can’t keep me from her,” AJ said.

“Just get out of my sight,” Hayley said. AJ left the room. Nick sat down and hugged Hayley.

Chapter 11

The next day, Hayley sat in her hospital room when AJ came in with flowers. She looked at him and looked away.

"You think you can just give flowers and everything will be okay, think again, nothing you do will make up for what you did and nothing you do will get me back, we are over and you stay away from me and my daughter!" Hayley said angrily.

"She is my daughter, too, you can't change that, and she is a part of me as she is you!" AJ said. Hayley looked at him.

"She isn't yours, she's Nick's daughter, he and I slept together, after you raped me," Hayley said. AJ looked at her.

"You are lying," AJ said.

"No, I'm not, I thought she was yours, but they said I conceived the day after the night you raped me," Hayley said.

"How could you," AJ said.

"You raped me, when that happened, our relationship was over, the moment it was over, we were over," Hayley said.

"I can't believe this, you were lying about her being mine!" AJ said.

"So what," Hayley said. AJ walked out the door. He saw Nick running down the hall. Nick stopped and looked at him.

"You bastard," AJ said.

"What," Nick said.

"You slept with Hayley, that baby is yours, Hayley told me the truth, we are not friends anymore," AJ said. Nick shrugged and went into Hayley's room.

"Nick, what's wrong," Hayley said.

"The baby, she flatlined, they are doing everything they can to save her," Nick said.

"Oh god," Hayley said.

"Why did you tell AJ that baby was mine?" Nick asked.

"So he would stay away," Hayley said.

"Hayley," Nick said.

"Nick, please, I don't want him away, if he finds out the truth, he will do anything to be around my daughter, and me if she lives, that is," Hayley said. He sat down beside her.

"I need you, Nicky, to be here for me, I can't do this alone and I don't want AJ around me anymore, you, Kevin, Howie and Brian are the only ones I trust," Hayley said.

"Hayley, you know I'm here for you no matter what, you will never be alone, I'm here, Kevin will be here, Brian will be here and Howie will be here, you will not be alone," Nick said. She leaned against him and he held her close. Dr. Harris came in.

"Hayley," Dr. Harris said.

"Is she okay?" Hayley asked.

"We have her on life support, we are doing everything we can to keep her alive, we have a breathing machine to help her breathe, we are going to keep a very close eye on her," Dr. Harris said.

"Please, don't let her die," Hayley said.

"We won't, we will fight to keep her alive," Dr. Harris said. Nick hugged Hayley as Dr. Harris left the room.

Chapter 12

Three days later, Hayley and Nick waiting for word on the baby. The door opened and Kevin came in. Nick looked up.

“Kev, what are you doing back?” Nick asked.

“I couldn’t stay away, my mom understood and said I should be here for my friends, even though she doesn’t know the whole truth,” Kevin said winking at Nick.

“AJ wouldn’t leave Hayley alone so she told him the baby is mine,” Nick said.

“She did the right thing,” Kevin said.

“I think it’s wrong,” Nick said.

“If she doesn’t want AJ around and he won’t listen, she did the right thing,” Kevin said. Hayley smiled at him.

“Thanks, Kev,” Hayley said. Nick got up and left the room. Kevin followed him and pulled him into a closet and locked the door.

“Kev, this is stupid, I hate all this lying,” Nick said.

“What do you mean?” Kevin asked.

“Hayley is lying to AJ, I know she doesn’t want him around but he is the father of her baby, and I hate lying to everyone that I’m straight,” Nick said.

“Nick, you know what will happen if we come out, it could affect the group,” Kevin said.

“I know, Kev,” Nick said. Kevin pressed him against the wall and kissed him deeply. Kevin pulled him closer as the kiss deepened. They began removing each other’s clothes and pressed their naked bodies against each other. (You should know what happens next! You will find out later! Hehe!)

Meanwhile…in Hayley’s room.

The doctor came into the room and Hayley looked at him.

“Your baby is going to be fine, Hayley, she is breathing on her own, she is going to be fine,” the doctor said. Hayley smiled.

“Thank god,” Hayley said. The doctor left the room. Nick came in smiling. He sat down.

“Hayley, I’m sorry for walking out like that, I will continue to pose as the baby’s father,” Nick said quietly.

“Thanks, Nicky,” Hayley said.

“I love you, you know that,” Nick said.

“I know, I love you, too, so where’s Kevin?” Hayley asked. Nick smiled.

“He’s home, waiting for me,” Nick said.

“What did you do?” Hayley asked. Nick looked around.

“We locked ourselves in a closet here and had mind blowing sex, it was hot, Hayley, it’s going to be my turn when I get home,” Nick said.

“Wow!” Hayley said smiling.

“Yeah, oh god, Hayley, I loved the feeling of Kevin fucking me in the ass, oh man, it was amazing, I really love him,” Nick said.

“I’m happy for you, Nicky, while you and Kevin were having mind blowing sex in the closet, the doctor came in and told me the baby is fine,” Hayley said.

“That’s great!” Nick said hugging her.

“I know, and tomorrow, they are going to release me and the baby,” Hayley said.

“What is her name going to be?” Nick asked.

“Nicole Jane,” Hayley said.

“I like that, I better go, Kev’s waiting at home,” Nick said. Hayley smiled.

“Will you pick us up tomorrow?” Hayley asked.

“You know I will,” Nick said. He kissed her lips and left and went home to have mind-blowing sex with Kevin.

Epilogue

Nick arrived at the hospital to take Hayley and Nicole home with him. He arrived at her room and saw her and smiled. She smiled.

“How was it?” Hayley asked.

“Hot, steamy, amazing, happy, I feel so alive,” Nick said grinning. She smiled.

“I’m happy for you, Nicky, I really am, now I want to get out of here,” Hayley said. He took her and the baby out to his car. He helped her into the car and put Nicole in a car seat. He took the wheelchair back into the hospital. He came out and got into the car and took her home. He helped her into the house. Kevin got up and helped Hayley up the stairs while Nick carried everything in. Nick went upstairs and went into the bedroom and watched as Kevin helped Hayley into bed. Nick picked up Nicole out of her car seat and held her. Hayley watched Nick with the baby and smiled. Kevin left the room. Nick laid the baby in Hayley’s arms and Hayley unbuttoned her shirt and undid her bra and began breast-feeding Nicole. Nick sat there and watched. He brushed a strand of hair back from Hayley’s face. Hayley smiled up at him.

“I’ll be here for you, you can stay here for as long as you want,” Nick said.

“I know you will be here for me,” Hayley said. She burped Nicole and Nick put her in a bassinet that Kevin set up beside the bed. He watched Nicole as she fell asleep. He looked at Hayley. She looked at him.

“I will be the father she deserves, she is my daughter no matter what,” Nick said.

“Her last name is Carter,” Hayley said. Nick smiled.

“We can do this, Hayley, Kevin will help us, we can be her parents,” Nick said.
