Hayley was
working in the bar she owned. The bar was named Coyote Ugly and it was in the middle of New York City. She was talking to
one of the customers when she saw five guys come in. Her employees served them drinks. She noticed one of them looking at
her. Music started up and her employees got on the bar and danced. She kept serving drinks. The guy who was looking at her
came over to where she was. She looked at him.
"Do I know you?" he asked.
"That depends, what is your name?" Hayley asked.
"Nick Carter," he said. Hayley looked at him.
“My name is Hayley, nice to meet you,” Hayley said. She remembered him when she was living in Florida when
she was sixteen. They hung out a lot and one night they slept together. They lost their virginity to each other that night.
She woke up and he was gone. She moved away two weeks later.
“I remember a girl named Hayley, she and I hung out a lot,” Nick said.
“That name is pretty popular, I guess,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her.
“You look like her in a way, I last saw her when I was seventeen and she was sixteen,” Nick said.
“Everyone seems to have a look-alike,” Hayley said. Nick stood there.
“Hayley, I know it’s you, I’m not stupid,” Nick said. She looked at him.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t know you, so please enjoy the drink and have fun, I have to work,”
Hayley said.
“Tell your boss that an old friend showed up,” Nick said.
“I am the boss, I own this bar, okay, and you aren’t an old friend, I don’t know you, okay, I was
born here in the city and have lived here all my life,” Hayley said.
“I’m sorry to have bothered you,” Nick said. He went to join his friends. Hayley stood there watching
him go. She didn’t want to be hurt by him again. She couldn’t let him know who she was.
Chapter
2
That night, after she closed the bar. She went outside
and started walking home when she sensed she was being followed. She looked around and saw no one. She walked faster and turned
the corner and hid and peeked and saw Nick coming towards the corner. She waited until he was at the corner before she stepped
in front of him.
“Is there a reason you are following
me,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her.
“Yeah, Hayley, there is, I know it’s
you, I hired a private investigator and he found you, he tracked your parents and I went to see them and they told me where
you were and that you owned Coyote Ugly,” Nick said.
“Why bother, huh, I’m not that
girl anymore,” Hayley said.
“So you admit it,” Nick said.
“You tricked me,” Hayley said.
“Yeah, I did,” Nick said.
“What do you want,” Hayley said.
“I want to talk to you about that
night, and why I left,” Nick said.
“I don’t give a shit, it’s
the past, no point of going back, I have moved on and I’m happy with my life, okay, I have been fine without you so
don’t bother coming around and wanting me back,” Hayley said. Nick looked at her.
“I know it’s been ten years,
but I am still in love with you,” Nick said.
“You are crazy,” Hayley said.
“Crazy in love with you,” Nick
said.
“You need help,” Hayley said.
“You are the only one who can help
me,” Nick said. She looked at him.
“Why me,” Hayley said.
“You are all I think about, I dream
about you every night, I dream about the night we made love,” Nick said.
“Nick, it’s in the past, okay,”
Hayley said.
“I need you, Hayley, I don’t
need anyone else, just you, you are my soulmate,” Nick said.
“How are you sure of that?”
Hayley asked. Nick kissed her deeply. She looked at him.
“I’ve never been more sure of
anything in my whole life,” Nick said.
“I can’t do this,” Hayley
said pulling away from him. He pulled her close.
“Yes you can, I know you feel the
same way, I see it in your eyes,” Nick said.
“I have to go,’ Hayley said.
She ran down the street and ran all the way home and went into her apartment and closed the door and locked it. She looked
around and turned on the light and her cat, Abby, came up to her.
“Hey baby,” Hayley said petting
her. She fed Abby and went and took a shower and went to bed.
Chapter 3
Hayley was in the basement
of her bar, sorting through the liquor order and put stuff away. She heard a noise and turned and saw Nick standing at the
bottom of the stairs.
“What are you doing here?” Hayley
asked coldly.
“We need to talk,” Nick said.
“I’m busy,” Hayley said.
“I see that, why don’t the employees
help you with this?” Nick asked.
“Because my employees have lives besides
the bar, my life is the bar,” Hayley said.
“Can I help you?” Nick asked.
“No, you could help by leaving,”
Hayley said.
“I am not leaving until you hear me
out,” Nick said. Hayley said.
“Why do you want to live in the past,”
Hayley said. Nick came over to her.
“Because I still am in love with you,
that’s why I left, because I fell for you and it scared me, then I didn’t know where you moved or where to start
looking, it was a coincidence that me and my friends came into the bar that you owned,” Nick said.
“So you left because you were in love
with me and too chicken to stick around and tell me, things could have been different, but you chose to leave, it’s
your loss, not mine, I’ve moved on, why don’t you do the same,” Hayley said.
“I can’t, all this haunted me
for ten years and it won’t go away, I’m sorry, but I can’t move on from this,” Nick said. He kissed
her deeply and left. She stood there in shock. She touched her lips and realized that she was in love with him. She knew she
always had been but was too angry to admit it or do anything about it. She went back to work on the order. That night, it
was the busiest night at the bar and they were over their occupy limit and Hayley knew she couldn’t get some people
to leave herself. Her front door man and bodyguard, Lou, was trying to keep the number down. The cops showed up. Hayley jumped
over the bar to deal with them. She didn’t see Nick and his friends come in with bodyguards. Nick saw Hayley talking
with the cops. He told his friends to go help out behind the bar. The bodyguards helped break up some fights. The cops managed
to get some people to leave. After the number of people decreased, Hayley noticed the four guys behind the bar serving drinks.
She saw Nick coming towards her.
“What the hell do you think you are
doing,” Hayley said.
“Helping you out, there were fights,
my bodyguards broke them up, my friends helped out behind the bar with drinks and to make sure there is no trouble, that is
all,” Nick said.
“This is my bar, not yours,”
Hayley said.
“I was just trying to help, that’s
all,” Nick said.
“Get your friends out from behind
my bar,” Hayley said. Nick motioned his friends. She went back behind the bar and continued working.
Chapter 4
The next night, Hayley was working when a girl came up to the bar. Hayley recognized her as Lindsay Lohan. Hayley knew
she wasn’t 21.
“You’re Lindsay Lohan, right?”
Hayley asked.
“Yeah, I was asked to come sing a
song to you, dedicated from Nick Carter,” Lindsay said.
“Okay,” Hayley said. She got
her bullhorn.
“Listen up everyone, Lindsay Lohan
is going to sing a song, give it up for her!” Hayley said. Lindsay Lohan got up on the bar and turned on her stereo
and music played and sang her song called Over. Hayley listened to it. After she was done, she got down off the bar and looked
at Hayley.
“How do you know Nick?” Hayley
said.
“I used to date his brother, Aaron,”
Lindsay said.
“I see,” Hayley said.
“I better go, bye,” Lindsay
said. She went out the door. Hayley saw Nick come in. He came up to the bar. Hayley looked at him.
“Did you like the song?” Nick
asked.
“Uh, we were never over because we
never began,” Hayley said.
“Hayley, come on, I told you why I
left that night, give me a chance here,” Nick said.
“When are you going to stop living
in the past!” Hayley said.
“When you are my girlfriend!”
Nick said. Hayley looked at him.
“You are crazy,” Hayley said.
“I’m crazy for you,” Nick
said.
“I have to work now, just leave,”
Hayley said. Nick looked at her and walked out the door. Hayley watched him go and she knew she couldn’t hold him off
any longer. She had to find a way to get him to leave her be.
Chapter 5
Hayley closed up the bar and headed home unaware that she was being followed. She arrived home and went in and took
a shower. She got out and got dressed. There was a knock at the door. She opened the door and saw Nick standing there.
“What are you doing here?” Hayley
asked.
“I followed you here, we have to talk
about this, Hayley, I don’t know what your problem is but there is something between us,” Nick said.
“Yeah, a door,” Hayley said
slamming it shut. He opened the door and closed it.
“No, Hayley, I want to know what is
going on and why you won’t give me a time of day, I told you that I was sorry for leaving all those years ago but I
am here now,” Nick said.
“You really want to know why I want
to forget the past, that night we slept together, I got pregnant and when I gave birth, the baby was stillborn, that’s
why I want to forget the past, my old life ended when our baby died!” Hayley said.
“You were pregnant, the baby was stillborn,
you could have called me!” Nick said.
“You walked out on me, you made it
look like you didn’t want me around!” Hayley said.
“So this is my fault,” Nick
said.
“I was alone, I didn’t have
anybody, my parents didn’t care about me,” Hayley said sitting down.
“I can’t believe this,”
Nick said.
“I can take you to our baby’s
grave tomorrow, if you want to go,” Hayley said.
“Yeah, I do, I have to go,”
Nick said. He went out the door. Hayley laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
Epilogue
The next day, Hayley met Nick at the graveyard and led him to the baby’s grave. He saw the headstone.
“Nicole Ann Carter?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, she was your baby,” Hayley
said.
“Hayley, I thought a lot last night
and I really want to start over, start fresh, I don’t mean to forget all about the past, it would be wrong to forget
that we had a daughter, but I meant you and me as a couple,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.
“You really want that?” Hayley
asked.
“Yes, I do,” Nick said.
“You don’t care that I own a
bar,” Hayley said.
“I don’t care, all I care is
having you as my wife, my lover, my everything,” Nick said. Hayley went into his arms and they were kissing passionately.
He took her back to his hotel and took her to his room and they made hot passionate love. Three weeks later, they were married
and living in New York City. He helped with the bar and he and the guys entertained the customers in the bar and helped bring
different artists to the bar and soon the bar was so popular that people were coming from all over the US to visit the bar.
Hayley decided to open up Coyote Ugly bars all over the US. After a few years, there was one in Florida, Texas, and California.
Hayley and Nick were still together and enjoying married life and soon they became a family with twins. A baby boy and girl
named Nick JR. and Emily. Hayley watched as Nick played with Nick JR whom they call Nicky, and Emily. She never been happier
than that moment.
