Hayley sat in the living room of her best friend’s house. Nick just lost his wife, Mandy. Nick has a baby boy named Nickolas Robert Carter, who is only two weeks old. Mandy was killed in a car accident the day before.

       “How can I go on,” Nick said.

       “Nick, think of your son, he needs you,” Hayley said.

       “Oh god,” Nick said crying. Hayley hugged him.

       “Nick, I’m here for you and Nicky,” Hayley said.

Three months later, Hayley sat on the floor playing with the baby. Nick sat there watching her and his son.  Nicky started yawning.

       “I’m going to put him to bed,” Hayley said. She picked him up and took him up to the nursery. She put him to bed. She went back downstairs and sat down on the couch beside Nick.

       “Hayley, thank you for being here for me for the last three months,” Nick said.

       “You are my best friend, Nick,” Hayley said.

       “Hayley, this is a hard time for me and raising a kid by myself is really going to be hard for me with my career and all,” Nick said.

       “Nick, I’ll help you out in any way I can, I can take care of Nicky while you are gone,” Hayley said.

       “Can you move in here with me?” Nick asked.

       “Of course I can, that way I can be here anytime,” Hayley said.

       “Hayley, thank you,” Nick said.

Three days later, Hayley was moved into Nick’s house and in her room. She went to bed. She woke up to kisses on her neck and she opened her eyes and saw Nick.    

       “Nick,” Hayley said sleepily.

       “I need you, Hayley, I love you so much,” Nick said holding her close.

       “Oh Nick,” Hayle said. He crushed his mouth to hers in a deep hungry kiss. He pulled off her nightgown and gazed over her body. She pulled his boxers off and they made hot passionate love. Afterwards, they laid there tangled in each other’s arms.

       “I love you,” Nick said.

       “I love you, too,” Hayley said.

Three months later, they were married. Hayley legally adopted Nicky and they were officially a family.
