Hayley saw there watching the Backstreet Boys concert from the VIP section. She looked over at Leighanne and Kristin and she looked back at the stage. She was in love with Nick and he thought of her as a friend. She would flirt with him and he would calmly tell her that they could only be friends. She wanted to be with him so bad and she was making a fool of herself. She got up and went out the door and found Billy and he took her back to the hotel. Billy stood outside the door of her suite and she went in and got into the liquor cabinet. She got out some vodka and started drinking.

Two hours later, Nick and the guys and girls arrived back at the hotel. Nick sat Billy standing at Hayley’s door.

     “Billy, is Hayley okay?” Nick asked.

     “I think she is, I haven’t heard anything,” Billy said.

     “Open the door,” Nick said. Billy swiped his card and Nick went in and saw Hayley sitting on the couch with a bottle of vodka.

     “Well, hello Nicky,” Hayley said drunkenly.

     “Oh great, you’re drunk,” Nick said.

     “Oh yeah, I’m partying,” Hayley said. Nick took the bottle from her and locked up the liquor cabinet. He turned and looked at her and saw her passed out. He shook his head and picked her up and carried her into the bedroom. She moaned and he laid her on the bed and moved to leave but she grabbed his hand and pulled him back and he landed on top of her. She grabbed his face and kissed him hard. He pulled back and got up and left the room. She laid there and realized that she made a bigger fool of herself. She went to sleep. The next morning, she woke up with the biggest headache possible. The door opened and Nick came in.

     “Good morning!” Nick said loudly.

     “Oh god, stop yelling!” Hayley said holding her head.

     “Time to get up and enjoy the day,” Nick said loudly. Hayley groaned and gave him a death look.

     “Right after I kick your fucking ass!” Hayley said.

     “Touchy, come on, bus is leaving in twenty minutes,” Nick said.

     “Go to hell!” Hayley yelled. Nick looked at her.

     “I will suppose the hangover is talking so if you aren’t ready to go in fifteen minutes, Billy will be carrying you to the bus,” Nick said. He went out the door.

Chapter 2

Hayley laid on the couch of Nick’s bus where Billy put her after carrying her out. She held her head as she watched Nick play video games. She slowly got up and went to find some aspirin. She took some and laid back down. Nick looked over at her as she had her arm over her eyes.

     “Hayley,” Nick said.

     “What,” Hayley said. Nick paused the game. Hayley removed her arm and looked at him.

     “We need to talk,” Nick said.

     “Why,” Hayley said.

     “You kissed me last night,” Nick said.

     “So, I was drunk,” Hayley said.

     “That didn’t stop you,” Nick said.

     “God, Nick, is giving you a kiss so bad?!” Hayley said.

     "Hayley, I don't have those type of feelings for you," Nick said.

     "What feelings?" Hayley asked.

     "Hayley, do you think I don't know, I know you are in love with me, I can tell by the way you flirted wth me, I'm not stupid," Nick said. Hayley looked away from him.

     "I know you are not stupid, and I can't help the way I feel, I know I keep making a fool of myself," Hayley said. She turned away from him and closed her eyes.

     "Hayley," Nick said.

     "I'll leave the tour, Nick," Hayley said.

     "No, I don't want you to," Nick said.
     "I can't keep doing this, throwing myself at you and getting rejected every time," Hayley said. Nick moved over to her.

     "Hayley, no matter what, you are my best friend, I don't want you going anywhere but with me and the guys and girls on this tour," Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

     "Fine," Hayley said. The buses arrived at the venue. Hayley got off the bus and AJ came up to her.

     "Hey, Hayley," AJ said.

     "Hey AJ," Hayley said.

     "You doing okay?" AJ asked.

     "I'll survive," Hayley said. They walked into the venue.

     "How about hanging with me tonight," AJ said.

     “Okay, cool,” Hayley said smiling at him. He smiled and hugged her and went to his dressing room. Hayley sat down on the couch. Leighanne and Kristin came in.

     “Hey girl,” Kristin said.

     “Hey,” Hayley said.

     “We thought we could have a girl’s night out,” Leighanne said.

     “Well, actually, I’m hanging out with AJ tonight,” Hayley said. Leighanne and Kristin looked at each other.’

     “Are you over your feelings for Nick?” Kristin asked quietly. Hayley shook her head.

     “I don’t think I ever be,” Hayley said.

     “We know,” Leighanne said.

That night after the show, Nick came out of the showers and saw AJ and Hayley walk out the door together. Leighanne saw him.

     “Nick,” Leighanne said.

     “Where are they going?” Nick asked.

     “They are going to hang out,” Leighanne said.

     “Oh,” Nick said. He went to his bus.

Epilogue

Two weeks later, Nick noticed that AJ and Hayley were growing closer. He suddenly felt jealous. He sat there listening to Hayley laugh at something AJ said. He couldn’t take it anymore and stood up abruptly and stormed down the hall and went into his dressing room, slamming the door behind him. He laid on the couch. Hayley came in and closed the door and looked at him.

     “Nick, what is going on,” Hayley said.

     “You want to know what’s going on, I hate that you are hanging out with AJ,” Nick said.

     “What,” Hayley said.

     “Yeah, I thought we were best friends,” Nick said.

     “You’re jealous!” Hayley said.

      “Yeah right,” Nick said.

     “You are, Nick,” Hayley said.

     “No, I’m not!” Nick said.

     “Stop denying you are, Nick, you are jealous because I’m hanging with AJ and not hanging with you!” Hayley said.

     “I’m not jealous, Hayley, I’m in love with you!” Nick said. Hayley’s eyes widened and her jaw dropped open. He just stood there.

     “You’re in love with me?” Hayley asked.

Nick slowly nodded.

     “How long have you felt this way,” Hayley said.

     “Two weeks,” Nick said.

     “Why didn’t you say anything?” Hayley asked.

     “I was scared, that you moved on,” Nick said.

     “No, I didn’t,” Hayley said.

     “What about AJ?” Nick asked.

     “AJ and I have been just hanging out, that’s it,” Hayley said.

     “Will you be my girl?” Nick asked. Hayley smiled.

     “I thought you would never ask,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her deeply. They went out and told everyone that they were a couple. They all cheered. Brian came over to Nick while Hayley talked with the girls.

     “Frick, remember saying something about me finding love, I have found love,” Nick said watching Hayley.

     “About time,” Brian said. Hayley came over to Nick and hugged him. They knew that they were going to be together forever and nothing would tear them apart.
