Hayley stood at the doorway, looking around the house.  Her brother, Brian, came up to her and hugged her.

       “I can’t believe he’s gone, B, but a part of me is glad he’s gone,” Hayley said. She was talking about her husband, Adam, who was killed in a car accident two weeks before. He and his new lover were killed instantly. Hayley knew that he’s been cheating on her for three months. They had only been married for a year.

       “He didn’t deserve you, Hayley, not after cheating on you, you didn’t deserve that, you were the faithful one,” Brian said. She knew Brian never liked Adam, but being her brother, he had to deal with it.

       “I know,” Hayley said.

       “Come on, Nick’s waiting for ya,” Brian said. Hayley was going to live with Nick. They were the best of friends and he told her that she could live with him because he was lonely and she needed somewhere new to live. She didn’t want to stay in the house she shared with her late husband. Hayley looked around and nodded. They went to Nick’s. Nick met them at the door and hugged Hayley close. Hayley rested her head on his chest.

       “Thanks for letting me stay here, Nicky,” Hayley said. Nick looked at Hayley. She looked up at him.

       “Hey, you are my best friend, I know you couldn’t stay in that house anymore, besides, I have a huge house and it’s just me living here, I need the company, who better than my best friend,” Nick said. Hayley hugged him. He hugged her tight.

       “You two would make a great couple,” Brian said. Nick and Hayley looked at Brian.

       “You think so?” Hayley asked.

       “Yeah, you two look so good together,” Brian said.

       “Brian, we are best friends,” Hayley said.

       “Yeah,” Nick said.

       “You two don’t see how you two look at each other, I can see it, Kev, Howie, and AJ can see it, you two want each other, you two just don’t want to admit it,” Brian said. Hayley and Nick looked at him and looked at each other and back at Brian.

A year later, Hayley and Nick stood at the altar. Brian was right. They wanted each other. They spent a lot of time together and fell in love. From the moment that happened, they were never apart. They exchanged vows and rings. They kissed and were officially announced husband and wife. They went to the reception and sang a song that was sung by Clint Black and his wife, Lisa Hartman Black. It was called When I Said I Do. They sung it staring at each other. After they were done, they went on their honeymoon. They made love and they both knew they were going to be together forever.
