What Makes You Different
When I Said I Do
Where Would You Be
With You

I was sitting in the police station.  I was homeless after coming down from Missouri. My family died and there was nothing left for me in Missouri so I decided to come to Florida. I have been living on the streets for two weeks.  The police saw me getting attacked by some guy and they arrested the guy and brought me to the police station.

“So you have no family, no money, no car, no house, you have nothing,” Officer Smith said.

       “That’s correct,” I said.

“I’m calling someone you could stay with who is a really nice guy, I know he will help you, he does a lot for charity, so he’s good to helping people and maybe he can get you a job,” Officer Smith said.

He went to use the phone.

Brian Littrell walked into the station.  He went to an officer.

“I’m here to see Officer Smith,” Brian said.  The officer pointed him to Officer Smith.  He walked over to Officer Smith.

       “Officer Smith,” Brian said.

“Brian, how are you,” Officer Smith said.

“I’m good, you said I could help with something,” Brian said.

“See that girl over there,” Officer Smith said pointing to the girl sitting by herself.  She looked dirty and tired.

“What happened to her?” Brian asked.

“She’s been living on the streets for two weeks, she’s from Missouri, she came down because her family died and there was nothing for her in Missouri, she has nothing, no money, no house, no car, nothing, she needs help and I thought you could do that,” Officer Smith said.

“I will do it,” Brian said.  Officer Smith and Brian walked over to her.  She was looking at her bag in her lap.

“Bri, this is Brian Littrell,” Officer Smith said.

       “Hi Bri,” Brian said.

“Brian Littrell, as in the Backstreet Boys,” I said.

       “Yeah,” Brian said.

“Oh my god, I’m so embarrassed,” I said.

“It’s okay, come on, I’ll take you home, you can stay with me, you can get cleaned up, what the heck, you can live at my house, tomorrow I’ll take you shopping for new clothes, anything you want,” Brian said.

“I don’t know what to say,” I said standing up.

“Welcome to my home,” Brian said.  I followed him out the door. He took me to his house.  He opened the front door and I saw his dog, Tyke.

       “Is this Tyke?” I asked.

“Yeah, it is,” Brian said.  Brian picked him up.   Tyke looked at me and wagged his tail.  I petted him.  He licked my hand.

“I’ll show you the bathroom and I’ll get some clothes for you to change into,” Brian said.

He showed me the bathroom.  He got me a towel and some clothes.

       “Whose are these?” I asked.

“They’re mine, don’t worry, it’s okay,” Brian said.

He got me some soap and shampoo.  I closed the door and locked it and got into the shower.  After I was done, I got out and dried off and looked at myself in the mirror and smiled at my reflection.

“I’m fresh and clean,” I said.  I put a pair of my underwear on and my bra. I put on Brian’s track pants and a blue Nike T-shirt. I brushed my hair and left it down to dry.  I felt my stomach growl.  I gathered my stuff up and opened the door and walked out.  I went downstairs.  Brian was watching TV. He looked up and smiled.

“Hey, you look great,” Brian said.  I blushed.  He got up and came over to me.

“You can put your stuff in the bedroom at the top of the stairs,” Brian said.

“Okay, thanks,” I said.  I went upstairs and put my stuff in the bedroom.  I came back downstairs.

“The guys are coming over, you want to meet them,” Brian said.

“Okay, is there anything to eat, I’m very hungry,” I said.

“Oh, yeah, I’ll order pizza, what kind of pizza do you want?” Brian asked.

“Pepperoni with extra cheese,” I said.

Brian picked up the phone.  I sat down.  Brian hung up the phone.

“Pizza should be here in twenty minutes,” Brian said.

“Okay,” I said.  The front door opened and Nick, Kevin, AJ, and Howie came in.

“Hi guys, meet Bri,” Brian said.

       “Hi Bri,” they said.

       “Hi,” I said.

“She knows who we are,” Brian said.

Brian filled them in on what’s going on.

“Bri, welcome, we will take care of you now, if you need anything, ask one of us,” Kevin said.

       “Thanks,” I said.

“As for living arrangements, who do you want to live with?” AJ asked.

“He means, who’s your favorite Backstreet Boy, who is your favorite?” Howie asked.  They all looked at me.

       “Nick,” I said.

“He’s always the fan favorite!” AJ said.

“No one can resist the blond hair and blue eyes,” Nick said.

“I like all of you guys, but Nick’s my favorite,” I said.

“Who is your least favorite?” AJ asked.

“Guys, I like all of you, but I like Nick more,” I said.

“So, you would want to go live with Nick,” AJ said.

“I don’t care where I live, as long as I have a roof over my head and food in my stomach and a bed to sleep in,” I said.

“You can live with Nick,” Brian said.

“You can live with me,” Nick said.

       “Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yeah, I’ll be glad to have ya,” Nick said.

“Tomorrow, someone will need to take her shopping,” Brian said.  AJ perked up.

“Did you say shopping?” AJ asked.

“AJ and Nick can take you shopping,” Brian said.

We talked all night.  Then Nick took me to his house.  I carried my stuff in.  He showed me a room.

       “Thanks,” I said.  Nick smiled.

“You’re welcome,” Nick said.  I went into the room.  I closed the door.  I dug through my bag.  There was a knock at the door.  I opened the door.  Nick stood there.  He held out a pair of boxers and a T-shirt.

“I didn’t know if you had any pjs,” Nick said.

       “Thanks, I don’t, thank you,” I said.

       “No problem, goodnight,” Nick said.

“Night,” I said.  He went to his room.  I closed the door and changed into the shirt and boxers and got into bed.  I went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up and sat up smiling.   I got up and changed into Brian’s track pants and left the shirt on and went downstairs and saw Nick sitting at the table.  He looked up and saw me and smiled.

“Morning, how did you sleep?” Nick asked.

“Great, I slept really well, I’m just happy to be in a bed again,” I said.  Nick smiled.

“AJ should be here soon and we’ll go shopping,” Nick said.

“I really appreciate this, I mean, what you guys are doing for me, thank you a lot,” I said.  Nick put his hand over mine.

“It’s no problem, we are glad to help, especially with a gorgeous girl like you,” Nick said.  I blushed.  He smiled.

       “She’s blushing,” Nick said.

“I am not!” I said blushing once again.

“Yes, you are,” Nick said smiling.

“Yeah, I am, so what,” I said.

The doorbell rang.  The door opened.

“Nick, where are you!” I heard a girl say.

“I’m in the kitchen,” Nick said.  A blond girl came into the kitchen.  She gave Nick a kiss on the lips.  She looked at me.

       “Who’s this?” she asked.

“This is Bri, she’s my new roommate,” Nick said.

       “Oh,” she said.

“Bri, this is Mandy, my girlfriend,” Nick said.

“Nice to meet you,” I said.

“You, too, what are you doing today?” Mandy asked Nick.

“AJ and I are taking Bri out shopping, she needs a new wardrobe,” Nick said.

“I can see why,” Mandy said.

       “Mandy,” Nick said.

“Mandy, I want to tell you a story, you might want to sit down,” I said.  Mandy sat down.

“I don’t have any family left,  I’m from Missouri, two weeks ago, my family were killed in a car accident,  I felt that there was nothing for me in Missouri so I came down here, that left me broke, I had no money, no car, no house, nothing, I have been living on the streets for the past two weeks, then yesterday afternoon, a guy attacked me and the police stopped him and arrested him, they took me down to the station, I told them my story and they called someone who could help me, they called Brian, Brian came down and took me to his house, I cleaned up, the guys came over and we all got to know each other,” I said.

“Then we asked her who she wanted to live with, she said she didn’t care as long as she had a roof over her head and a bed to sleep in, so I said she can live with me,” Nick said.

“Oh, Bri, I’m sorry,” Mandy said.

       “Thanks,” I said.

“Well, I have to go, I’ll see you two later, I guess,” Mandy said.  She kissed Nick and left.  Nick looked at me.  I was looking at my hands.

“Bri, are you okay?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” I said.  I got up and went into the living room and sat down.  Nick came in and sat beside me.

“Bri, something’s bothering you,” Nick said.

“Nothing is bothering me, I’m fine,” I said.

The front door opened and Kevin, AJ, Howie, and Brian came in.

“Hey Bri, we decided to make it a group thing, we all are taking you shopping,” Brian said.

“Cool,” I said.  We all went to the mall.  They bought all the clothes that I liked. We went back to Nick’s house and had a barbecue.  The next day, I was sitting in my room.  I heard voices downstairs.  I quietly went downstairs.  I stayed out of view.

“Nick, I did some detective work, I contacted someone in Missouri, there have been no deaths reported of Bri’s family, in fact, I actually talked to Bri’s father, he said that they were fine and that Bri ran away from home, her parents and brother are coming on the next flight down here,” I heard Kevin say.

“So, she’s been lying to us,” I heard Nick say.

“Yeah,” I heard Kevin say.  I went upstairs.  I ran to my room and packed my stuff.  I heard footsteps coming up the stairs.

“Bri, what are you doing?” I heard Nick ask.

“I’m leaving,” I said as I continued packing my stuff.

“Why?” Nick asked.  I looked at him.  Kevin, Howie, AJ, and Brian were standing behind him.

“Because I heard what you guys said, I’m not going home, I’m not going back to them,” I said crying.

“Bri, they’re your family,” Kevin said.

“They don’t care about me, not at all, they hate me, they always told me that I was a big mistake, they only wanted one kid, that was my brother, I was a mistake,” I said crying.  I sat on the bed.  I felt someone sit by me.  I looked up and saw Nick.

“Bri, you can stay here, if you want, you don’t have to go back,” Nick said.

“Thanks, I’m sorry I lied to you guys,” I said.

“Just don’t lie to us again, telling the truth always helps,” Howie said.  The guys nodded.

“I’ll try to be honest, from now on,” I said.  The doorbell rang.  Nick got up and went downstairs.  The guys followed.  I went down and sat with Brian and AJ.  Nick opened the door.

“Can I help you?” Nick asked.

“I’m Craig, this is Susan, and this is Blake, we are Bri’s parents and brother,” my father said.

“Come in,” Nick said.   They came in and saw me.

“There you are, you’re going home, young lady,” my father said.

       “No, I’m not,” I said.

“Oh yes, you are,” my father said.

“I’m not going anywhere with you,” I said.

“Is that how it is,” my father said.

“I know you think that I was nothing but a mistake, I overheard your conversation about it, I thought I would make things easier by leaving, so that you wouldn’t have to worry about your mistake anymore,” I said.  My mother looked at my father.

“We are sorry about that, we were just talking,” my father said.

“Sounded serious to me,” I said.

“Okay, you were a mistake, we didn’t have enough money to support two kids, when your mother became pregnant with you, we thought we could handle it but when you came, we knew it was a mistake because we almost went broke, so yes, you were a mistake,” my father said.

“I knew it,” I said turning away from them.

“But that doesn’t mean we don’t love you,” my mother said.

“Love me? you guys loved me, you guys never cared about me, Blake got everything, he got what he wanted and I got nothing, I never got anything, he always did, is that love, no, I don’t think so!” I yelled turning away again.  Nick got up and wrapped an arm around me.  He hugged me.

“We will send you the rest of your stuff,” my father said before leaving.  My mother and brother followed.  The door closed and I cried.  Nick held me.

       “Bri, I’m sorry,” Kevin said.

“It’s okay, I needed to confront them about it,” I said.

Three months later, the guys and I are best friends.  They all looked out for me.  Nick has been secretive lately.  Everyone was over.  Brian, Leighanne, Kevin, Kristen, Howie, Claudia, AJ, Amanda, and Mandy were at the house.  I was in my bedroom.  The door opened and Leighanne, Kristen, Claudia, and Amanda came in.

“Hey, Bri, why is Nick being so secretive?” Leighanne asked sitting on the bed.  Us girls became the five musketeers. They don’t like Mandy.  I don’t like her either.

“I don’t know, I have no idea, he didn’t tell me anything,” I said.

“It probably has something to do with Mandy, if he asks her to marry him, we will all throw fits,” Leighanne said.

There was a knock at the door.

“It’s open,” I said.  Brian came in with Kevin, Howie, and AJ.  Howie closed the door.

“You girls don’t like Mandy, do you?” Brian asked.  We shook our heads.  We all went downstairs and out back where Nick and Mandy.  We all sat down.  Nick stood up and got down on one knee in front of Mandy.  We all looked at each other.

“Mandy, will you marry me?” Nick asked.

“Yes, I will,” Mandy said.  He slipped a ring on her finger and they hugged.  We all looked at each other.  I ran into the house.  I ran up to my room and closed the door and locked it and collapsed on the bed and buried my face in the pillow and cried.  There was a knock at the door.

       “What,” I said.

“Bri, open the door,” Nick said.

       “Go away,” I said.

“Bri, open the door now,” Nick said.  I got up and unlocked the door and opened the door.

“What,” I said.  Nick came in and closed the door.

“What’s wrong, Bri, why are you crying?” Nick asked.

“No reason, I just feel like crying,” I said sitting on the bed.

“Bri, don’t lie to me, what’s going on?” Nick asked.

       “Nick, I don’t like Mandy,” I said.

“That’s why you and everyone didn’t clap, you all don’t like her,” Nick said.

“I’m sorry, Nick,” I said looking at my hands.

There was a knock at the door.  I got up and opened the door and saw Brian, Howie, Kevin, AJ, Leighanne, Kristen, Claudia, and Amanda.  They came in and saw Nick.

“I know you guys don’t like Mandy, but I’m marrying her whether you like her or not,” Nick said leaving the room.  Everyone looked at me.

“I couldn’t lie, I’m sorry,” I said.  Brian sat down beside me.

“You love him, don’t you,” Brian said.

“Can’t you tell,” I said.  Brian hugged me.  Everyone hugged me.

We all went down and saw a note.  I picked it up.

“Dear so called friends, I know you all don’t like Mandy, but I love her, right now, Mandy and I are getting on a plane to Las Vegas, we are getting married, when we come back, I’ll be a married man, this isn’t a prank or a joke, it’s for real, Nick,” I said.  I dropped the note and sat at the table.  Brian pulled me up and we all went to the airport. We ran to the gate and saw Nick and Mandy sitting there.

“Nick, what are you doing!” Kevin said.

“We are going to Vegas, you guys don’t want us to get married, I don’t care what you think, learn to live with it,” Nick said angrily.

“Nick, you’re crazy, don’t do this, if you go to Vegas, you are no longer in the group,” Kevin said.

“You don’t mean that,” Nick said.

“Try me, I know you don’t want to disappoint all your fans out there, all those fans who love you, you are the fan favorite, you have a choice, Nick, the band or marriage in Vegas,” Kevin said.  He walked off.  We all followed.  Nick and Mandy looked at each other.  They turned their tickets in and went home.  They walked in and saw everyone in the living room.

       “Okay, you won,” Nick said.

“Nick, we need to talk,” Mandy said.  They went outside to talk.  Ten minutes later, Mandy came in and left.  We all looked at each other.  Nick came in.

“Hope you all are happy now, Mandy and I are over, we broke up, hope you’re happy now,” Nick said before going upstairs.  We all looked at each other.  Everyone left.  I went up to my room and closed the door and collapsed on the bed.  I changed into my pjs and got into bed.  I went to sleep.  In the middle of the night, I woke up and saw Nick standing by my bed.

“Nick, what’s wrong?” I asked.  He said nothing and lifted the covers and got into my bed.

“I need you,” Nick said as he began kissing me.  He held me close as he kissed me.  I kissed back.  I pushed him back.

“Nick, are you okay?” I asked.

“Bri, I realized that I have feelings for you, I am acting on those feelings, I want you,” Nick said kissing my neck.

“Nick, we can’t, it isn’t right,” I said.

“Does it feel right,” Nick said huskily as he kissed my lips. I gave in and kissed him back.  What started to be soft and gentle kiss soon turned passionate and deep as he put his hand on my cheek.  His hand traveled from my cheek, down my neck and across my collarbone until it fanned across one of my breasts, cupping it through the material of my shirt.  My hands came down to the bottom of his shirt, clumsily grasping the hem.  He broke the kiss to help me tug it over his head before returning his mouth to mine.  He slid his hands under my shirt, tugging my arms free before pausing the kiss to slip it over my head. He gazed over my body, his lips parting slightly as he searched for words.

"Oh Bri," he whispered huskily before leaning down to press soft kisses to my tummy.

"I love you so much," Nick whispered, his breath rushed across my skin like a wave in the ocean.

"Nick...." I sighed as my fingers came down to rake through his hair.  His kisses moved higher, pressing against my skin as his fingers clumsily tugged at my shorts.  His lips moved to my bare breasts, happy I wasn't wearing a bra today, as he moved my shorts down over my hips and thighs until he could toss them to the floor.  My hands groped for the button and zipper of his pants until I grasped them and pushed his pants down.

"Nick...." I whispered as he kissed up my neck.

       "Yeah?" he asked between kisses.

"Help me with your..." before I could finished, he pushed his boxers to his knees before kicking them to the floor.  He slid mine off as he kissed my lips. Then using the instinct and lust running though his body, he settled himself in the cradle of my thighs.  The tip of his stiff manhood was at the opening to my sacred virginity, ready to thrust inside of me.  He kissed me deeply, our tongues dancing inside our mouths as my legs came around his waist.

"Now, Nick....now...." I begged. He pushed inside of me, slow and deliberate, he slid himself up the walls of my untouched womanhood before pulling out and sheathing himself once again.  In rhythmic thrusts of his hips, he slowly built up speed until we were both moaning, gasping and crying out in pleasure.

"Nick...." I screamed as I suddenly contracted around him, tightening onto his shaft as he could no longer resist the burning in his lower belly.  With one final thrust, he came fast and hard.  Collapsing onto the bed beside me so he wouldn't crush me, he pulled me against his chest.

"Oh my god, Bri..." he whispered between labored breaths.

"I know..." I whispered back, turning my face to press a kiss to the center of his chest.  I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes.  We fell asleep.  The next morning,  I woke up and saw Nick still asleep.  I gently got up and got dressed and went downstairs.  The doorbell rang.  I opened the door and saw Leighanne and Kristen.  They came in.

“Hey girl, what’s up?” Leighanne asked.

“Nothing, I just got up,” I said.

       “Where’s Nick?” Leighanne asked.

       “I guess he’s still asleep,” I said.

“What happened, Bri, you’re glowing,” Kristen said.  I smiled.

Their eyes widened.

“Bri, did you two sleep together?” Leighanne asked.

“Maybe,” I said going into the kitchen.  They followed me.  We sat down at the table and I told them what happened last night.  After I was done, they squealed.

       “What happens now?” Leighanne asked.

“I don’t know,” I said shrugging.  We talked.

“Let’s go shopping, Bri,” Leighanne said. I got my purse, left a note for Nick, and left with Leighanne and Kristen.

Nick woke up and saw that Bri was gone.  He got up and got dressed and went downstairs and saw a note on the table.  He picked it up and read it.  It said:  Nick, went shopping with Leighanne and Kristen.  I’ll be back later.  Love ya, Bri.  He smiled and ate breakfast.  That afternoon, Nick was watching TV when the phone rang.

       “Hello,” Nick said.

“Hey Frack, what’s up?” Brian asked.

       “Just watching TV,” Nick said.

“How about a barbecue, I called Leighanne and she, Kristen, and Bri are stopping at the grocery store, the other guys are on their way over, how about it, at your house,” Brian said.

“Sure, come on over, I’ll get the grill out,” Nick said.

“See ya, man,” Brian said.  Nick hung up and ran upstairs and changed into his swim trunks and a tank top and went outside and got his grill out.  The door opened and closed and AJ, Howie, and Kevin came out.

       “Hey, Frack,” AJ said.

       “Hey guys,” Nick said.

       “Grill ready?” Kevin asked.

“Getting there,” Nick said as he lit the grill.  He sat down and they talked.  Brian came out and joined them.  Twenty minutes later, they were talking when they heard laughing coming from inside.  Brian and Nick got up and went inside and saw Leighanne, Kristen, and Bri in the kitchen putting away groceries and talking.

       “There’s the girls,” Brian said.

“Hi guys,” I said opening the fridge.

Leighanne whispered something in Brian’s ear.

“Oh my god, Frack, you the man,” Brian said.

“What, what did I do?” Nick asked.

“You and Bri, Nicky,” Brian said.

“Yeah, so what,” Nick said as he came over to me and wrapped his arms around me.  Brian smiled.

“You two make a great couple,” Brian said.

“They were meant for each other,” Leighanne said.

“Yes, we were,” Nick said kissing my head.  Brian ran out and told the guys.  AJ came in.

       “Oh Nicky!” AJ said.

“AJ, I hate being call that! You have three seconds to start running,” Nick said walking towards him.  AJ ran out the door with Nick chasing after him.  I laughed and went back to putting groceries away.  The doorbell rang.  Leighanne went to get it.  She came back with a box of stuff.   I took it from her and saw that it was my belongings.

“Your father dropped it off,” Leighanne said.

“I’ll take this to my room,” I said.  I went upstairs and sat it on my bed and sat beside it and sorted through it and tears came to my eyes. I got out the scarf that my grandmother gave me. I started crying quietly.  I put the box on the floor and laid down on the bed facing away from the door.  I held the scarf and cried. I heard someone come into the room and felt someone sit on the bed.  I turned my head and saw Nick.

“You okay?” Nick said.   I shook my head.  Nick saw my stuff and saw the scarf.

“My grandmother gave me this scarf, she was the only person who loved me,” I said crying.

       “Hey,” Nick said.

“She passed away five years ago, then everything turned horrible,” I said crying.  Nick hugged me.  I cried on his shoulder.

“Hey, it’s okay, I’m here, let it out if you want to, I don’t care how wet my shoulder gets,” Nick said. I just laid there in Nick’s arms and cried.

“I just can’t believe how my life was, not being loved, just only from my grandmother,” I said crying.

“Hey, you’re loved now, by me, Brian, Howie, AJ, Kevin, Leighanne, Kristen, Amanda, and Claudia, we all care about you, especially me,” Nick said.

“He’s right, Bri, we all care about you,” Brian said.  I looked and saw everyone at the door.  They came in and we had a group hug.

“I think I have found myself a new family,” I said.

“You got that right, we’re family and you’re family now, welcome to the BSB family, Bri,” Brian said.  I smiled and we all hugged again.  Everyone except Nick went downstairs.  Nick and I laid on the bed and kissed deeply.   That night, Nick and I made passionate love over and over again and fell asleep in each other’s arms.
