Jane Carter sat down in her living room and watched her six-year-old son play with his new best friend. Brizee lived next door to them and was a very sweet little girl. She and Nick got along great and were inseparable. Jane held her four-year-old daughter, Bobbie Jean close as she watched Nick and Brizee play.

"Mama, can Brizee spend the night?" Nick asked.

"If it’s okay with your father and if it’s okay with Laura," Jane said.

That night, Nick and Brizee were asleep in Nick’s bed. Jane and Bob sat down and watched the news.

"The search for a missing Kentucky child has grown rapidly, Harold and Jackie Littrell’s little girl, Brizee, was taken from the hospital after she was born, she would be six years old today and the Littrells’ won’t give up hope that she is still alive," the reporter said. Jane and Bob looked at each other.

"Could it be Brizee they are looking for?" Jane asked.

"Laura did say she adopted Brizee, that she found Brizee on her doorstep when Brizee was a newborn," Bob said.

"I think we found her," Jane said. Bob called the Kentucky police and told him everything he knows. He went next door to talk to Laura. They came back over.

"Let’s call the Littrells’ and tell them to come get their daughter," Laura said.

"Don’t you care about her," Jane said.

"Of course I do, but she is their daughter and she was taken from them, it’s not right for me to keep her, she needs to be with her real family," Laura said. Jane went upstairs and woke Brizee and Nick.

"Mama, what is it," Nick said. They went downstairs.

"Mom," Brizee said. Laura came over and knelt down in front of her.

"It’s time you know the truth, Brizee, you aren’t my daughter, I found you on my doorstep when you were a newborn and I adopted you, your real family is looking for you, you were taken from the hospital after you were born, I don’t know who took you, or why," Laura said.

"Who are they," Brizee said.

"Harold and Jackie Littrell, they live in Lexington, Kentucky," Bob said.

"We saw everything on the news," Jane said.

"They are coming down to meet you and take you home, to your real home," Bob said.

"No!" Nick said.

"Nick, honey, she needs to be with her real parents, her real family, Brizee, you have two brothers, they are Brian and Harold Jr," Jane said.

"Brizee, stay here, with me, you are my best friend," Nick said.

"Nicky, I don’t think I have a choice," Brizee said.

"Yes, you do, don’t let them take her, please!" Nick said.

"Nick, honey, it’s out of our hands, she was taken from them, they miss her," Jane said.

"No!" Nick said as he ran upstairs.

"Jane, please tell him goodbye for me, and that I will write to him and call him," Brizee said. She hugged Jane and Bob and went home with Laura. Jane went upstairs to comfort her heartbroken son.

The next day, Nick watched out the window as a car pulled up in front of Laura’s house. Laura and Brizee walked out and the woman got out followed by a man and two boys. The woman hugged Brizee. The man hugged Brizee afterwards and the boys hugged her. Nick watched them walk into the house. He laid on his bed and cried. Jane came in and hugged Nick.

"She’s leaving, isn’t she," Nick said.

"I’m sorry, honey, she’s going to be with her real family," Jane said.

"She was my first best friend, Mama, how can I let go," Nick said.

"She will write and call," Jane said.

"It’s not the same, Mama, she won’t be here," Nick said. Jane hugged her son close and looked out and saw Brizee coming out with her bags and watched as the car pulled away.

Chapter 2

April 20, 1993

Nick, AJ, and Howie sat in the meeting room at Jive Records. Kevin came in.

"My cousin is coming down," Kevin said.

"What’s his name?" AJ asked.

"Brian, Brian Littrell," Kevin said.

"Littrell, does he have a sister?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, Brizee," Kevin said.

"I know her!" Nick said. He told them the whole story.

"She’s coming with him, Nick, you can see your best friend again," Kevin said smiling.

"She’s been writing to me and I wrote back, I can’t believe this, I get to see her again," Nick said.

Three hours later, Brian came in with Brizee behind him.

"Hi Kevin," Brian said.

"Brian, this is Howie and AJ," Kevin said.

"Hi Brian, Nick’s in the bathroom," AJ said.

"Nick?" Brizee asked.

"Nick Carter," Kevin said.

"I know him," Brizee said.

"We know, he told us," Kevin said.

"Yeah," AJ said. Nick came into the room.

"Nick, this is Brian, and I think you know this person right here," Kevin said. Nick grinned when he saw Brizee. She ran to him and they hugged tight.

"God I missed you, Brizee!" Nick said.

"I missed you, too," Brizee said hugging him tight.

"Well, after today, you two won’t be apart, everywhere I go, Briz will be going, I’m taking care of her," Brian said.

"Thank god," Nick said.

"I know, we have to catch up, since we haven’t seen each other for seven years, you have really grown up," Brizee said.

"So have you, girl, how was it being back with your real family," Nick said.

"I loved it, but I missed you a lot, you are my first best friend, and it was hard for me to make new friends, but Brian was there for me, being the best brother any one could have, and Kevin was there too," Brizee said.

"Guys, welcome, who are you," Barry Weiss said.

"I’m Brizee, Brian’s sister," Brizee said.

"She came with Brian," Kevin said. Jane came in.

"Nick, you forgot this," Jane said handing him his notebook.

"Thanks, Mama, guess who this is," Nick said nodding towards Brizee.

"Brizee!" Jane said. Brizee hugged Jane.

"Hi Jane, I missed you," Brizee said.

"I have missed you, too," Jane said.

"This is Brian, my brother," Brizee said.

"Hi Brian, I’m Jane, Nick’s mother," Jane said shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you, ma’am," Brian said.

"Nick, I’ll be back to pick you up, okay," Jane said.

"Okay, Mom," Nick said. Jane left.

"Brizee, you can sit over there," Kevin said.

Brizee sat down. The guys sat down at the table. After the meeting was over, everyone went home. Brian went with Kevin while Brizee went with Nick and Jane.

"So, do I get to meet Leslie, Angel and Aaron," Brizee said.

"Yup, they are around here somewhere," Nick said.

Leslie, Aaron, and Angel came downstairs.

"Leslie, Aaron, Angel, this is Brizee," Nick said.

"Hi," Brizee said.

"Hi Brizee, nice to meet you," Aaron said smiling.

"Hi Brizee," Leslie and Angel said.

They all sat down and talked.

Chapter 3

Three weeks later, Nick and Brizee were hanging out a lot and getting to know each other all over again. They were hanging out in the old treehouse that they used to play in when they were six years old.

"I’m glad you came back with Brian," Nick said.

"Me, too, Nicky, I missed ya, when I left, I was crying, I didn’t talk to anyone for a week," Brizee said.

"I cried my eyes out, you’re my first best friend and I was losing you, but you are back now and I’m glad," Nick said. She smiled.

"I had a dream that you were my first everything," Brizee said.

"Really?" Nick said.

"Yeah," Brizee said. Nick smiled.

"Cool," Nick said.

"Nicky, have you ever kissed anyone before?" Brizee asked.

"No, have you?" Nick asked.

"No," Brizee said. Nick moved close to her.

"Can I kiss you?" Nick asked.

"Yes," Brizee said. He leaned forward and she felt his lips on hers. They heard Jane calling them. They pulled back and looked at each other and smiled and they went inside and saw Brian and Kevin sitting at the table.

"Hey bro, hey cuz," Brizee said.

"Briz, there is something you should know," Brian said. Brizee sat down. Nick stood behind her.

"What is it," Brizee said.

"Mom and Dad want you to come back to Kentucky to continue school," Brian said.

"Can’t I just have a tutor or go to school down here," Brizee said.

"Briz," Brian said.

"Forget it, either I go to school here or get tutored or I won’t go home," Brizee said.

"Brizee, Mom and Dad want you to be home with them, they missed six years with you," Brian said.

"They know where I am now, I can stay here with Jane and Bob, can I," Brizee said.

"Brizee, you are always welcome here, if your parents let you, you can go to school down here," Jane said.

"My parents want her home," Brian said.

"I don’t want her to go," Nick said.

"Nick, it’s not your choice," Brian said.

"Brian, why do you want her to go back, she’s your sister, you two are practically inseparable, her being down here could keep it that way," Kevin said.

"Brian, you are my brother, I don’t want to go home, I want to be down here with you, Kevin, and Nick, I haven’t seen Nick for seven years, he was my first and only best friend," Brizee said.

"All right, I’ll talk to Mom and Dad," Brian said. Brizee smiled and hugged her brother.

That night, Nick and Brizee laid in Nick’s bed. She looked at Nick.

"Nicky," Brizee said quietly.

"Yeah," Nick said.

"Do you think we’ll be best friends forever?" Brizee asked.

"Yes, Briz, we will always be best friends," Nick said.

"About the kiss we shared, I hope that doesn’t change things," Brizee said.

"It won’t, Briz, I liked it, a lot, we are only thirteen," Nick said.

"I know," Brizee said.

"You know I really care about you," Nick said.

"I know you do," Brizee said. Nick leaned over her.

"When we get older, promise me something," Nick said.

"What is it," Brizee said.

"That you will be my first," Nick said.

"Only if you be mine," Brizee said.

"Deal," Nick said. Brizee smiled and he hugged her. He pulled back and kissed her cheek and laid beside her and they went to sleep.

Chapter 4

January 28, 1998

Nick and the guys were on the set of Sabrina The Teenage Witch for their cameo on the show. The cast and crew and the guys surprised him with a cake after they were done shooting. Brizee smiled as she watched Nick blow out the candles. He looked right at her and smiled at her. The guys and Brizee left and went back to their hotel rooms. Nick and Brizee walked into their hotel room and Nick closed the door. Brizee came over to him and kissed him softly on the lips.

"Happy Birthday, Nicky," Brizee said.

"Thanks," Nick said hugging her.

"You guys are so popular here and they know who I am and it’s getting so I have to wear a disguise in public, too, I can’t believe how much you guys became popular here," Brizee said.

"I know, it’s incredible," Nick said.

"And you, Carter, are the most popular Backstreet Boy," Brizee said.

"Yes I am," Nick said pulling her close.

"Nick," Brizee said.

"Yeah," Nick said.

"You are my favorite Backstreet Boy," Brizee said.

"And you have my heart," Nick said.

"Isn’t it fun to hide our true relationship from everyone, even the guys, if Brian knew you and I are dating, he’ll kill us," Brizee said.

"It’s good that he doesn’t know," Nick said kissing her lips tenderly and hugging her tight.

"You know we can’t hide it forever," Brizee said.

"I know, but Brian might not let us see each other and I don’t want that," Nick said.

"I can’t believe you and I had our first time last night," Brizee said. Nick smiled.

"Amazing, wasn’t it," Nick said.

"Oh yes, very amazing, felt like I was in heaven," Brizee said. Nick kissed her neck.

"It was a good early birthday present for me and you, since your birthday is coming up," Nick said.

"Yeah," Brizee said.

Three months later, Brizee and Nick were living together and they were chasing each other around the house when there was a knock at the door. Nick went over to the door while Brizee sat on the couch. He opened it and saw Brian and Kevin standing there.

"Hey, what’s up," Nick said.

"Um, Briz, Mom called, she wants you to come home," Brian said.

"What, I want to stay," Brizee said.

"She said she needs you there," Brian said.

"Why," Brizee said.

"She didn’t say," Brian said.

"Why can’t I stay," Brizee said.

"Briz, just get your bags, Kevin will take you to the airport," Brian said. Brizee went upstairs and packed a bag and came back down and hugged Nick tight. She left with Kevin. Brian sat down.

"Brian, what is it," Nick said.

"I had to get her away, before she found out, so my parents can tell her," Brian said.

"What," Nick said.

"I’m having my surgery, for my heart, in two days," Brian said.

"Frick, she’s your sister, she would want to be here," Nick said.

"I just want her to be with my mom and dad when she found out," Brian said.

"I could have told her, I’m her best friend, she trusts me," Nick said.

"I know, man, and I know you two are dating, man, Frack, I’m not stupid, I could see how you two are together, you two act like two people in love," Brian said.

"We are," Nick said.

"Just don’t hurt her, okay," Brian said.

"I wouldn’t dream of it, she is the only one for me, Frick," Nick said.

"Good," Brian said.

Two days later, the guys were unable to be at the hospital because they were presenting an award at the World Music Awards. Nick, Kevin, AJ, and Howie explained why Brian wasn’t with them and asked everyone to pray for Brian on his recovery. They left after that and went to the airport and got on a plane back to the states. They went to the hospital and saw Jackie, Harold, and Ann sitting there. Nick saw Brizee and went over to her.

"Hey," Nick said.

"Nicky," Brizee said hugging him.

"You doing okay?" Nick asked.

"Why didn’t you tell me," Brizee said.

"Brian wanted your mom and dad to tell you," Nick said.

"I’m so worried, Nicky," Brizee said.

"He’ll be okay, he’s strong, he has a lot to live for, God knows that," Nick said holding her close.

"Nicky, don’t leave me," Brizee said.

"I won’t, I promise," Nick said kissing her forehead and hugging her close.

Two hours later, Brizee was sitting by Brian’s bedside holding his hand.

"Hey bro, you get better, okay," Brizee said. Nick came in and put his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey," Nick said.

"He’s so pale, Nicky," Brizee said.

"They said he’ll make a great recovery, he’ll be fine, baby," Nick said. Brizee walked out of the room with Nick behind her.

"Mom," Brizee said.

"Yes, honey," Jackie said.

"I’m going home, I need some sleep," Brizee said.

"Nick, will you take her," Jackie said.

"Yeah," Nick said.

"Call me if there is any change," Brizee said.

"I will," Jackie said hugging her daughter. Brizee and Nick went home. Brizee walked into the bedroom and Nick came in behind her. Brizee went and shut the door and locked it. She went over and pulled Nick close and kissed him softly. They kissed hungrily.

"Briz?" Nick asked.

"Make love to me, Nicky, I need you so badly," Brizee said. Nick kissed her softly.

"Baby, are you sure, you are upset," Nick said.

"Nicky, please," Brizee said looking up at him with tears in her eyes.

"Briz, come on," Nick said leading her over to the bed and laying down and pulling her down beside him. He gathered her in his arms.

"Nick," Brizee said.

"You need rest, baby, just go to sleep," Nick said.

"I love you, Nicky," Brizee said.

"I love you, too," Nick said. She drifted off to sleep and he soon followed holding her close.

Chapter 5

Two weeks later, Brian was released from the hospital and Leighanne took him home. Brizee and Nick were there waiting for them. Nick and Leighanne were downstairs while Brizee went upstairs with Brian.

"Nick, my best friend, Mandy, is coming into town," Leighanne said.

"Cool," Nick said.

"I was wondering if you could show her around, since I will be here with Brian, I can’t," Leighanne said.

"I’ll talk to Brizee, maybe she and I can show her around," Nick said.

"I was thinking you could by yourself," Leighanne said.

"What are you doing, Leighanne, setting me up on a date with another girl when I’m with Brizee is out of the question, I have known Brizee forever, and I would rather die than ever hurt her, so cut it out, I don’t know what your problem is, it seems that you don’t like Brizee," Nick said.

"Nick, you could do better," Leighanne said.

"I have, Leighanne, Brizee is the only one for me and she always will be so leave it alone, Brizee is Brian’s sister and I promised him I would never hurt her, if I hurt her, I lose his friendship," Nick said.

"Nick, I’m not asking you to date her, just show her around town, that’s it," Leighanne said.

"Find someone else, I’m busy," Nick said sitting back.

The doorbell rang. Leighanne opened the door and smiled and hugged Mandy. They came into the living room and saw Nick sitting there watching TV.

"Nick, this is Mandy," Leighanne said.

"Hi Nick," Mandy said. Nick looked at her and looked back at the TV.

"Hi," Nick said coldly. Mandy sat by him.

"Leighanne said you are Brian’s best friend," Mandy said.

"Yes, I am," Nick said.

"Dating anyone," Mandy said.

"Yes, her name is Brizee, she’s Brian’s sister, and I love her more than life itself," Nick said.

"I was hoping you would show me around, since I’m new here," Mandy said.

"I’m busy," Nick said.

"Nick, not now you aren’t," Leighanne said. Nick shot her a dirty look and looked back at the TV.

"Nick, please," Mandy said.

"No," Nick said. Brizee came downstairs but hid as she watched what was happening. She watched as Mandy put her hand on Nick’s crotch. Her eyes widened as she watched Leighanne smile. She walked into the living room.

"Get your hands off of my man, you bitch," Brizee said.

"Who are you," Mandy said.

"I’m Brizee, Brian’s sister AND Nick’s girlfriend, get out!" Brizee said.

"She is welcome here," Leighanne said.

"Well, Leighanne, you can go, too, I saw you smiling at what she was doing, what did I ever do to you to make you think you can try to break me and Nick up!" Brizee said.

"Nick deserves better than a slut like you," Leighanne said. Brizee’s eyes widened.

"I’m a slut, huh, how is that, I’ve only been with one guy, I don’t sleep around, like you," Brizee said. Leighanne slapped Brizee. Nick got up and grabbed Leighanne and pushed her against the wall.

"Touch her again and you won’t like what I will do, how dare you do this, don’t you even care about Brian?" Nick said.

"Yes, I do," Leighanne said.

"You are hurting him, by hurting his sister, he loves his sister and you hurt her!" Nick said.

"What’s going on," Brian said weakly.

"Brian, go back to bed," Brizee said.

"Why are you holding her like that, Frack," Brian said.

"He’s hurting me, Brian, help me," Leighanne said.

"Shut up!" Nick said. Brizee told Brian the whole story.

"Get out, both of you," Brian said to Leighanne and Mandy.

"Brian," Leighanne said.

"I said get out, we are over, it’s obvious that you don’t like Brizee, I can’t have that, get out," Brian said. Brizee helped Brian back upstairs. Nick pushed Leighanne and Mandy out the door and slammed it. He got their things and threw them out the door and got the key from Leighanne and locked up the house. Brizee came downstairs and saw him. Nick pulled her close.

"I love you, so much, I can’t imagine my life without you," Nick said. He kissed her hungrily. They sat down and cuddled and watched TV.

Chapter 6

January 3, 1999

The guys were back in the studio recording another album. Brizee went to the studio to visit the guys. She saw Brian, Howie, AJ, and Kevin sitting around talking.

"Hi guys," Brizee said.

"Hi sis," Brian said.

"Hi cuz," Kevin said.

"Hi Briz," Howie said.

"Hi sweetie," AJ said. She sat down.

"Where’s Nick," Brizee said.

"He had to go to the bathroom," Brian said.

"So, how are you guys doing," Brizee said.

"Good, we are doing good, the album is coming along smoothly," Kevin said.

"Cool," Brizee said.

"Did you just come down to see Nick," AJ said.

"Well, yeah, and to see you guys, I’m going to find Nick and I’ll be right back," Brizee said. She went down the hall and turned the corner and saw something that made her heart drop. Nick was standing by the door of the bathroom kissing Mandy. Brizee quietly turned and walked back out where the guys were.

"That was fast," AJ said. Brizee ran out crying. Brian ran after her and caught up with her.

"Brizee, sis, what’s wrong," Brian said.

"I saw Nick kissing Mandy," Brizee said crying.

"Brizee, you know Nick loves you, it could be another trick, Leighanne might be doing this as a revenge tactic, sis, he loves you more than life itself, go home and I will send him home and you two can be together, I’ll take care of Mandy and Leighanne, okay, you know he loves you and only you," Brian said.

"Okay," Brizee said crying. She went home. Brian went back into the studio and saw Nick yelling at Mandy.

"You bitch, why can’t you leave me alone, I told you over and over again that I’m not interested in you and I am taken, I love Brizee more than anything, okay, you are never going to get me, you understand, when are you going to get it!" Nick yelled.

"Nick," Brian said.

"Brian, where’s Brizee," Nick said.

"She went home, go on," Brian said. Nick ran out. Brian looked at Mandy.

"You are never going to get him, leave now and you stay away from him and you tell Leighanne that if she doesn’t stop this, I will make sure she never acts in this country again," Brian said. Mandy nodded and left.

Nick went home and went inside and looked around. He went upstairs to the bedroom and sat on the bed. He felt arms wrap around his shoulders. He looked and saw Brizee and smiled.

"I know it was all her, I know you love me," Brizee said. Nick kissed her nose.

"That’s the truth, I would never cheat on you or hurt you, I love you so much," Nick said.

"Show me, Nicky," Brizee said kissing his neck. He pushed her back and laid on top of her. He pulled her clothes off and pulled his off and he slowly made passionate love to her. He laid beside her and held her close.

"I love you so much, my life is empty without you," Nick said kissing her forehead.

"You are mine, Nicky, no one else’s, you are only mine," Brizee said resting her head in his chest.

"And you are only mine," Nick said holding her close. The phone rang. Nick reached over and picked it up.

"Hello, hey Frick, yeah, we’re fine, better than ever, yeah, okay, later," Nick said. He hung up and held her close.

"What’s up," Brizee said.

"Brian told Mandy to tell Leighanne that if she does this again, he’ll make sure that Leighanne doesn’t act in this country again," Nick said.

"I don’t understand why she hates me, I never did one thing but be her friend, she and I got along great and now this," Brizee said.

"She wants Mandy with someone and thinks I’m the one," Nick said.

"Mandy is a bitch, if I see Mandy, I will kick her ass," Brizee said.

"Briz, she will leave me alone, I heard she wants to be a singer, I guess dating someone in the business is a way," Nick said.

"Well, I am not going to use you, Nicky, my love is for real," Brizee said.

"I know," Nick said smiling.

"I’m going to prove to you how much I love you," Brizee said moving down and taking him into her mouth. He moaned. He came into her mouth and she moved up beside him.

"I love you so much, baby," Nick said kissing her forehead.

"I love you, too, I never ever want to lose you," Brizee said.

"You won’t lose me, baby, I don’t want to lose you either," Nick said.

"You won’t, no matter what, we are staying together," Brizee said. Nick smiled.

"Good," Nick said. They fell asleep holding each other.

Chapter 7

November 16, 2000

Nick was packing a bag. Brizee sat on the bed and watched him.

"It’s only for four days, I’ll be back for Thanksgiving, you are meeting me out at Mom’s, right," Nick said.

"Yeah," Brizee said.

"Then after that, we will fly to Kentucky to be with your family," Nick said.

"My mom and dad know what we are going to do so they will have two Thanksgiving dinners," Brizee said.

"I am thankful for something," Nick said.

"And what is that," Brizee said.

"You, being in my life," Nick said.

"I’m thankful for that, too," Brizee said. He smiled and kissed her softly.

"I will miss you," Nick said.

"I’ll miss you," Brizee said. She got up and jumped on him and wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed him deeply. The doorbell rang. Nick groaned and let Brizee down and went downstairs. She opened the door and saw Brian and Kevin. Brian hugged her.

"Hey sis," Brian said.

"Hey," Brizee said resting her head on his shoulder.

"You okay," Brian said.

"I have to talk to you," Brizee said. They went out front and sat down on the steps.

"What’s up," Brian said.

"I’m pregnant, but I don’t want to tell Nick because he won’t want to go and he’ll be worried and all about me," Brizee said.

"Briz, you should tell him, okay," Brian said. They went inside and Nick came downstairs.

"Nicky, I have something to tell you, I wanted to wait until you came back but you need to know," Brizee said.

"What is it," Nick said.

"I’m pregnant, I wanted to wait until after you came back so you wouldn’t be all worried about me and not concentrate over there, I know you, Nick, you will be all worried and not want to go and all," Brizee said.

"We’re having a baby!" Nick said. He hugged her tight.

"Yeah," Brizee said smiling.

"I love you so much," Nick said.

"I love you, too," Brizee said.

"You are right, I don’t want to leave you," Nick said burying his face in her neck.

"Nick, that’s not possible," Kevin said.

"Oh don’t start, Kevin," Nick said.

"Nick, there are five guys, you, me, Howie, AJ, and Brian, we need you," Kevin said.

"I’ll call Pollyanna to stay with Brizee," Brian said.

"Guys, I’ll be fine," Brizee said.

"Are you sure," Brian said.

"Yeah, you guys have fun, I’ll be fine," Brizee said.

"Let’s go," Kevin said. Nick kissed Brizee deeply and kissed her stomach.

"I love you, baby," Nick said.

"I love you, too," Brizee said. He kissed her and followed the guys. Brizee watched and closed the door after they were gone. She locked up and sat down and sighed. The doorbell rang. She got up and looked out and saw Leighanne and Mandy. She went out back and got Billy who Nick and the guys left with her. He went and opened the door.

"Billy, let us in, we have a score to settle with Nick," Leighanne said.

"Sorry, Nick’s not here, and Brian asked you to stay away from him," Billy said. Leighanne and Mandy barged in and saw Brizee.

"Get the hell out," Brizee said.

"Break up with Nick now," Leighanne said.

"No," Brizee said.

"Brizee, please," Leighanne said.

"No, Leighanne, I love him with everything I am, and I know he loves me, I’m carrying proof," Brizee said.

"What," Leighanne said.

"I’m pregnant with Nick’s child, okay, I am not leaving him, I’m not breaking up with him, get a life," Brizee said.

"Leighanne, Mandy, please leave," Billy said.

"I don’t understand, Leighanne, why is it a big deal that Mandy gets with Nick, so she can get a record deal, ever try doing it yourself or do you have to be with a pop star to get one, well, I refuse to let Nick get hurt by you, if you leave Nick alone and leave me alone, we might help you out," Brizee said.

"Brizee," Leighanne said.

"Leighanne, what did I ever do to you to deserve this, huh, I have been nothing but friendly and nice and you turned into a bitch," Brizee said.

"Brian was always worried about you, not about me," Leighanne said.

"Is that what this is about, Brian caring for me and not you, you are so blind, he cared about you, you hurt him, he cares about me because I’m his sister, he missed 6 years with me, okay," Brizee said.

"What are you talking about," Leighanne said.

"I was kidnapped from the hospital after I was born, and brought down here and left on a woman’s doorstep, her name was Laura and she lived next door to Nick, so that’s how me and Nick met, we have been best friends since we were three, then when me and Nick were six years old, his parents saw a news story on TV about my real parents trying to find me, so I went back to my real parents and Nick and I wrote to each other and kept in touch, then when Brian came down to join the Backstreet Boys, I came with him and me and Nick were reunited, after that, Nick and I spent time together and even shared our first kiss, I was his first kiss and he was mine, he was my first everything, I love him with everything in me and I will not let him be taken from me," Brizee said.

"Why didn’t you say anything," Leighanne said.

"Because it was in the past, okay, I didn’t feel like bringing it up," Brizee said.

"Brizee, I’m sorry, I didn’t know how far back you and Nick went, I will not try to get him and I will take you up on that offer to help me get a record deal, I don’t need to be dating a pop star, Leighanne, just have to know the right people," Mandy said.

"Brizee, I’m sorry, too, I guess jealousy got in the way, I loved Brian so much and I hardly saw him because he was always with you, but I didn’t know why he was other than the fact that you two are brother and sister, but I didn’t know he was making up for lost time," Leighanne said.

"Well, now you know," Brizee said.

"Yeah," Leighanne said.

"Hey, I have an idea, I can start my own record label, and Mandy, I’ll sign you," Brizee said.

"Really," Mandy said.

"Yeah, just how good are you," Brizee said.

"I’ll sing for you," Mandy said.

She sang a song for Brizee. After she was done, Brizee smiled.

"You have what it takes, have you auditioned for any label?" Brizee said.

"Yeah, MCA, Jive, Columbia, every single one, no one wants me," Mandy said.

"Well, you two want to stick around while I get to work setting up a label," Brizee said.

"Where are the guys," Mandy said.

"They are doing a 100 hour around the world, they will be back by Thanksgiving," Brizee said.

"Brian told me and Leighanne to stay away from you and Nick," Mandy said.

"Don’t worry, now I know you aren’t a threat, it’ll be cool, I know how to handle my brother, he’s a little overprotective of me, Nick didn’t want to leave me for that trip," Brizee said.

"Well, you are having his baby, that could be a reason," Leighanne said.

"Yeah, I wanted to wait until he got back so he would go and not make Kevin mad," Brizee said.

"He likes to make Kevin mad, he thinks it’s fun," Leighanne said.

"Yeah," Brizee said. The phone rang.

"I’ll get it," Mandy said. Brizee continued writing.

"Hello, this is Mandy, what, Brizee said I could stay, Leighanne’s here, too, Brian, Brizee explained everything and we are all cool now, hold on, Brizee, it’s Brian and he’s pissed," Mandy said.

"Put it on speaker," Brizee said. Mandy switched over to speaker.

"What is it, Brian," Brizee said.

"Brizee, why are they there," Brian said.

"They came over, I explained everything, everything is fine now, they aren’t going to try to break up me and Nick," Brizee said.

"Did you invite them over?" Brian asked.

"No, they just came over," Brizee said.

"Briz, are you sure it’s not a trick," Brian said.

"It’s not a trick, Brian," Leighanne said.

"Dammit, Brizee, you have me on speaker, don’t you," Brian said.

"Yup, I’m busy with something," Brizee said.

"Brizee!" Brian said.

"Brian!" Brizee said.

"Take me off speaker now," Brian said.

"No, by the way, I’m starting my own record label," Brizee said.

"No you aren’t!" Brian said.

"Yes, I am, Brian, it’s my choice!" Brizee said.

"You don’t know what to do!" Brian said.

"Nick does, I bet he’ll help me!" Brizee said.

She heard him talking to Nick.

"Are you starting your own label because Mandy wants a record deal," Brian said.

"Yes, and I want to do something meaningful, and give everyone who wants a record deal a chance," Brizee said.

"Brizee, no," Brian said.

"You can’t stop me, Brian, don’t even try it or else," Brizee said.

"Or else what," Brian said.

"Or else you won’t have a sister anymore because you will be nothing to me," Brizee said. Leighanne and Mandy looked at each other. With that said, Brizee hung up.

"Brizee, why did you do that," Leighanne said.

"Because, I want to do something besides sit around, and I don’t want him controlling my life or my decisions," Brizee said. The phone rang. Brizee picked it up.

"Hello," Brizee said.

"Hey baby," Nick said.

"Hi, Nick," Brizee said.

"Brian told me what you are going to do, baby, are you sure about this," Nick said.

"Yes, I am," Brizee said.

"I talked with Kevin and he liked your idea, if you need help, me and Kevin will help you out, we will support you," Nick said. Brizee smiled.

"I knew I could count on you," Brizee said.

"Baby, I’d do anything for you," Nick said.

"I know you would," Brizee said.

"Okay, when we get back, we will get everything taken care of and tell Mandy that she’s going to be the next big thing, okay," Nick said.

"Okay, hey, I love you," Brizee said.

"I love you, too, baby, bye," Nick said.

"Bye," Brizee said. She hung up and looked at Mandy and Leighanne.

Chapter 8

Four days later, Brizee had her record label all ready for business. She found an office with a studio and everything that was needed. She hired Leighanne as her assistant manager.

"Okay, we will close up for Thanksgiving and we will get started a week after Thanksgiving, okay," Brizee said.

"Okay, have a good thanksgiving, Briz," Leighanne said.

"You, too, I don’t want to fly but what else can I do," Brizee said.

"You wish the Carters’ lived in Florida again," Leighanne said.

"Yeah," Brizee said. She locked up the office.

"See you after Thanksgiving, Briz," Leighanne said.

"See ya," Brizee said.

Brizee got on the road and headed for the airport when she heard a crash and everything went black.

Nick sat with his mom and dad, talking to them.

"When is Briz suppose to be here," Jane said.

"She had some things to wrap up for the label, she should be getting on a plane right now," Nick said.

"She is really serious about that label, we are proud of her," Jane said.

"Yeah, with me and the guys backing her, she can do it," Nick said.

"We know she can, and we are happy for her, and the fact that we are going to be grandparents," Jane said.

"Nick, we love Brizee like she’s our daughter, we are truly happy for you and Brizee," Bob said.

"Thanks, Dad," Nick said. The phone rang. Nick got up and answered it.

"Hello, hey Frick," Nick said. He listened and his face went pale and he dropped the phone. Bob picked it up as Jane helped Nick sit down.

"Hello, yeah, Brian, what, oh no, okay, we’ll be on the first flight out," Bob said. He hung up.

"What happened," Jane said.

"Brizee was in a car accident on the way to the airport, she’s in the hospital on life support," Bob said.

"The baby," Nick said as he started to cry.

"They are doing everything they can to keep Brizee and the baby alive," Bob said. They got BJ, Leslie, Angel and Aaron and went to the airport and got on the Concord to Florida. They went to the hospital and saw Brian, Kevin, Howie, AJ, Leighanne, Mandy, Jackie, Harold Jr, and Harold sitting there.

"Brian, how is she, has anything changed?" Jane asked.

"No, I refuse to leave until she wakes up," Brian said. He saw Nick and got up and went over to him.

"I can’t lose her," Nick said softly.

"I know, me either," Brian said. Brian hugged him. They all sat down. Nick went to find Dr. Kelly.

"Dr. Kelly," Nick said.

"Nick, I was just coming to talk to you," Dr. Kelly said.

"What is it," Nick said.

"Come to my office," Dr. Kelly said. They went and sat down.

"What is going on," Nick said.

"The reason that Brizee is on life support is because of the baby, we are trying to keep Brizee and the baby alive, so far it’s working, but she can’t stay on life support forever, Nick, that’s why you need to make a choice," Dr. Kelly said.

"A choice?" Nick asked.

"Between Brizee and the baby," Dr. Kelly said.

"You are asking me to choose between my baby and my girlfriend," Nick said.

"Nick, I know it’s difficult but there is a chance that Brizee will live without the baby," Dr. Kelly said.

"If I choose Brizee, will she be able to have more children," Nick said.

"We won’t know until then," Dr. Kelly said.

"How long do I have," Nick said.

"Nick, we need to have this decision as soon as possible," Dr. Kelly said.

"I don’t think I can make that choice, if Brizee wakes up, and finds out that the baby is gone, it will break her heart, Dr. Kelly, you have to do something," Nick said.

"Nick, if we don’t remove the baby, Brizee will die," Dr. Kelly said.

"Remove, more like kill it!" Nick said.

"Nick, we are doing everything we can, if we don’t do this, you will lose both your baby and Brizee," Dr. Kelly said. Nick sat there looking at his hands.

"I’ll go check on Brizee and come back, make your decision," Dr. Kelly said. She left the room. Nick sat there thinking of what to do.

Chapter 9

Nick sat in the chapel at the hospital. He stared at the floor. He felt someone sit beside him. He looked up and saw Mandy.

"Nick, what’s wrong," Mandy said.

"Dr. Kelly, she wants me to choose between Brizee and the baby, she said if they don’t remove the baby, Brizee will die, if I don’t do it, Brizee and the baby will die, but if I choose to let them remove the baby and Brizee wakes up and finds out, that will kill her," Nick said.

"Will she be able to have more children?" Mandy asked.

"I don’t know, Dr. Kelly said she doesn’t know, I don’t know what to do," Nick said.

"You should do what is right, you need to decide whose life is more important, do you want to lose Brizee?" Mandy said.

"No, I can’t lose her," Nick said.

"Then you should know what to do," Mandy said. Nick looked at Mandy.

"Thank you," Nick said. He went to find Dr. Kelly.

"Nick," Dr. Kelly said.

"Do what you have to do, save Brizee, if anything, save her, and see if she can have more children," Nick said.

"I don’t have to, she’s awake and breathing on her own and she and the baby are going to be fine, I would say a miracle happened," Dr. Kelly said.

"Can I see her," Nick said.

"Yes, and I will tell everyone," Dr. Kelly said. He went down the hall. Dr. Kelly walked into the waiting room.

"Dr. Kelly, how’s Brizee," Brian said.

"Everyone, Brizee is off life support and breathing on her own and she’s awake," Dr. Kelly said.

"Thank god," Leighanne said.

"And the baby?" Brian asked.

"The baby is fine, too, healthy and fine," Dr. Kelly said.

"Can we see her," Jackie said.

"Well, Nick just went in so let’s give them a few minutes," Dr. Kelly said.

Nick walked into Brizee’s room and saw her lying there. He walked over to her.

"Hey," Nick said softly. Brizee looked at him and smiled.

"Nicky," Brizee said. Nick hugged her gently.

"I’m so glad you’re okay," Nick said.

"Is our baby okay?" Brizee asked.

"Yes, our baby is fine," Nick said.

"Nick, what’s wrong," Brizee said.

"Dr. Kelly said that I had to choose between you and the baby, she said if they didn’t remove the baby, you would die, if I didn’t make a choice, you and the baby would die, but it’s a miracle, you are alive and so is our baby," Nick said.

"Nick, I know this would sound selfish, but if you had to make the choice, choose me, if possible, we could always have more babies, but there is only one of me," Brizee said.

"Baby, are you sure," Nick said.

"I’m sure, I know it will hurt me, but it’s not the end of the world, if I can’t have more babies, then we’ll adopt, there are kids out there who need good homes, or we can look for a surrogate mother," Brizee said.

"Baby, you are talking like we are married," Nick said.

"Then marry me," Brizee said.

"Yes, I will marry you," Nick said. He kissed her softly and hugged her.

"I love you, Nicky," Brizee said.

"I love you, too, Happy Thanksgiving, baby, I have a lot to be thankful for," Nick said. Brizee smiled.

"You bet you do," Brizee said. The door opened and everyone came in.

"Can we come in?" Jackie said.

"Sure," Brizee said. They all hugged her.

Chapter 10

Three days later, Nick brought Brizee home from the hospital. Everyone was happy that they are engaged to be married. Brian came over as Nick went shopping. Brian sat down at Brizee’s computer.

"Brizee, who is Brittany," Brian said.

"She’s one of my friends online, we have gotten close and are online sisters, why," Brizee said.

"She’s sending you instant messages," Brian said.

"Answer her back for me," Brizee said.

NicksGirl: Hey, I’ll take care of it, I’ll pay for everything, I’ll call the airlines and everything, and I’ll take care of it, okay

FricksGirl: Wow, thanks, and does Brizee wants to meet me?

NicksGirl: She hasn’t said anything but I know she does, I want to surprise her

FricksGirl: Oh I see, okay, I’ll email you the numbers and you email me back with what to do. Brizee knows my email address.

Brian closed out and looked at Brizee and watched her sleep. He smiled as he thought about her surprise. Nick came in and pulled Brian downstairs.

"What’s up, man," Brian said.

"I got this for Briz, do you think she’ll like it?" Nick said pulling out a ring box and opening it. Brian looked at it. He looked at Nick.

"She’ll love it, man," Brian said. Nick went upstairs and slid the ring on Brizee’s finger gently. He smiled and ran downstairs.

Two hours later, Brizee woke up and rubbed her eyes and looked at her left hand. She saw the most beautiful ring on her finger. She smiled and stretched.

"Nick, are you here?" Brizee called. Nick came into the bedroom and smiled.

"Hey, sleep well," Nick said sitting down on the bed. Brizee grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him close and kissed him hungrily.

"Thank you," Brizee said.

"For what, baby," Nick said. Brizee held up her left hand.

"It’s beautiful, I love it," Brizee said.

"I love you," Nick said.

"I love you, too," Brizee said.

The next day, Brian and Nick left to go to a band meeting. Brizee was lying in bed resting when the doorbell rang. Brizee slowly got up and slowly made her way downstairs and opened the door and saw a girl standing there.

"Can I help you?" Brizee asked.

"Brizee?" the girl asked.

"Yeah," Brizee said.

"It’s me, Britt," Brittany said.

"Britt, omg, this is a surprise, how did you get down here," Brizee said.

"Your brother paid my way down here, is he rich?" Brittany asked.

"You can say that," Brizee said.

"Wow, nice house," Brittany said.

"Well come in, this isn’t my house, it’s my fiancée’s house," Brizee said. Brittany came in and looked around.

"I really love this house already, it’s so cool," Brittany said. Brizee smiled and they went into the living room and sat down.

"So how are you doing," Brittany said.

"I’m doing okay, resting mostly," Brizee said.

"How’s the baby," Brittany said.

"Still in there," Brizee said rubbing her tummy.

"That’s good," Brittany said. Brizee heard two car doors shut.

"Okay, I have to tell you the truth, I’m marrying Nick Carter, and Brian Littrell is my brother," Brizee said.

"You’re kidding right," Brittany said. Brian and Nick came in and Nick ran over and kissed Brizee on the lips.

"Hi baby," Nick said.

"Hi sis!" Brian said hugging Brizee.

"Guys, this is Brittany, my online sister," Brizee said.

"Hi Brittany, I’m Brian, and this is Nick, and yes, we are Brian and Nick of the Backstreet Boys," Brian said.

"Omg, I can’t believe it, Briz, you weren’t kidding," Brittany said.

"No, I wasn’t, here’s the story, are you ready," Brizee said. Brittany nodded.

"Yes," Brittany said.

"Okay, I was born in Lexington, Kentucky, someone took me from the hospital after I was born and brought me down here and left me on a woman’s doorstep, her name was Laura, anyways, when I was three years old, Nick’s family moved into the house next door and Nick and I became best friends, when we were six, his parents saw a report on the news about a family looking for their daughter, so Nick’s dad went to get Laura and they figured out that I was the missing daughter, so my real parents came down and saw me and knew I was their daughter, because I look a lot like Brian, Nick was upset that I was moving to Kentucky, but we wrote and kept in touch with each other, then when Kevin called Brian to ask him to join the Backstreet Boys, Brian asked me to come along, so I came and Nick and I were reunited, we caught with each other what has been happening for the seven years he and I were apart, he was my first kiss, well, he was my first everything, we became a couple and I was always with him on tours, Nick and I shared our first time together and then I got pregnant, and I started my own record label, then the day before Thanksgiving, I was in a car accident, and I came out of it and still pregnant, I asked Nick to marry me and here we are," Brizee said.

"What she left out was that Leighanne was trying to break them up so Nick would be with her friend, Mandy, who was trying to get a record deal, this happened after my heart surgery and I was home recovering, I broke up with her, anyways, Leighanne went after Brizee to get her to break up with Nick, Brizee refused and told her and Mandy the story, then she came up with the idea of her own label, and signed Mandy, and hired Leighanne as her assistant manager," Brian said.

"Wow," Brittany said.

"So, how long can you stay?" Brizee asked.

"Well, I’m thinking of moving down here and going to college down here," Brittany said.

"Cool!" Brizee said smiling.

"So, Brittany, tell us about yourself," Brian said. They all listened as Brittany talked.

Chapter 11

Three months later, Brittany was with Brizee at the label. Leighanne came in and saw Brittany.

"Hi Briz, Hi Brittany," Leighanne said.

"Hi, Leighanne," Brizee said.

"Hi," Brittany said.

"So what’s up," Leighanne said.

"Brittany is the new assistant manager along with you, that makes her co-assistant manager," Brizee said.

"That’s cool," Leighanne said.

"Wait, okay, I’m president of the label, you two are vice-presidents," Brizee said.

"Okay," Brittany and Leighanne said. Mandy came in.

"Brizee, I listened to this, it’s not good at all," Mandy said. Brizee put it in and listened to it.

"Oh god," Brizee said burying her face in her hands.

"Brizee, stay calm, I’m sure this can be fixed," Brittany said.

"It can’t, I don’t know what to do, god, I’m so stupid, I can’t do anything right," Brizee said crying.

"Brizee, stay calm, okay, for the baby, it’ll be okay, I’m sure there is a way to fix it like Brittany said," Leighanne said.

"I’m so sorry, Mandy," Brizee said.

"Briz, it’s okay, just stay calm," Mandy said.

"Briz, you might need help, call Kevin and Nick in," Brittany said.

"No, I told Nick that I can do it, and he’ll be mad that I can’t," Brizee said.

"Briz, he loves you, he won’t be mad," Brittany said.

"Kevin will, the guys told me that I wouldn’t be able to do it, Brian and Kevin were against this from the start," Brizee said

"Then call Nick," Leighanne said. Brizee called Nick. Ten minutes later, Nick came in with Brian, Kevin, AJ, and Howie behind him.

"Brizee," Nick said.

"I messed up, listen," Brizee said. They listened to it.

"Yup, you did," Brian said.

"Brian," Nick said.

"I told you that you couldn’t do it, but you didn’t listen," Brian said.

"Brian, shut up, okay, Brizee, I’ll help you fix this," Nick said.

"No, we are shutting down this label, she can’t do it," Brian said.

"It’s not your call to make, Brian, me and Kevin are co-owners, not you," Nick said.

"Yeah, Brian, Nick’s right about that, come on, Nick, let’s fix this, come on, Mandy," Kevin said. They went to the studio. Brizee looked at Brian.

"What is the matter with you," Brizee said.

"You messed up, Brizee, it’s obvious you can’t do this," Brian said.

"I’m not giving up, okay, Nick can teach me how to do it, I’m not a quitter, okay, stop being a jerk about this and let me do what I want to do, you can’t control my life," Brizee said. She went down to the studio. She watched Kevin and Nick. After they were done, Mandy came out and Nick let her listen to it.

"It’s perfect," Mandy said.

"Yup," Nick said. Mandy hugged him and Kevin and she came over to Brizee and hugged her.

"Brizee, I know you can do it, don’t give up," Mandy said. She left. Brizee sat down on Nick’s lap.

"Okay, Nicky, show me what to do with this," Brizee said. He showed her what to do.
