Brian sat in the studio. He looked at Nick as he was telling them that he wanted to do a solo album. Brian kept his feelings to himself that he hated it. He didn’t want to delay a new album. But he was listening as AJ, Howie, and Kevin told Nick that they supported him one hundred percent saying that they all deserve a break. He saw them look at him. He shook his head and left the room and bumped into someone.

       “I’m so sorry,” Brian said as he looked at the person he ran into. The girl smiled.

       “It’s okay, I’m not hurt,” the girl said.

       “I’m Brian Littrell,” Brian said holding out his hand.

       “I know who you are, you are with the Backstreet Boys,” the girl said.

       “Yeah, are you a fan?” Brian asked.

       “Yeah, I’m Hayley, I just got a record deal and was doing some recording for an album,” Hayley said.

       “That’s good,” Brian said.

       “Something is bothering you, want to talk about it?” Hayley asked. They sat down.

       “It’s just that Nick wants to do a solo album, I want to get started on a new album with the group, AJ, Howie, and Kevin are supporting him one hundred percent, AJ, Howie, and Kevin also want to take a break and relax for awhile,” Brian said.

       “Well, the way you guys were going, you do need a break,” Hayley said.

       “I’m scared that we will lose fans,” Brian said.

       “Brian, you guys will always have fans, if people stop liking you guys because of a break, they aren’t true Backstreet fans,” Hayley said.

       “What am I suppose to do about Nick?” Brian asked.

       “You two are best friends, right,” Hayley said.

       “Yeah,” Brian said.

       “Be his best friend and support him, he is growing up and he wants to do something on his own, he is young, he spent all his younger years with the group, he needs to show the world that he can do something on his own, did he say he was going to leave the group?” Hayley asked.

       “No, he didn’t,” Brian said.

       “Support him, Brian, be there for him, be his Frick, you guys are all still a group, just taking a break,” Hayley said.

       “Thanks, for listening and the advice, can I call you sometime?” Brian asked. Hayley wrote down her number.

       “Here ya go,” Hayley said.

       “Thanks, maybe I’ll call you later,” Brian said.

       “How about going out to dinner tonight,” Hayley said.

       “Okay, I’ll pick you up at seven,” Brian said. She gave him her address.

       “See you tonight,” Hayley said. She left and he went back in with the guys.

       “Brian, are you okay,” Howie said.

       “Yeah, I’m sorry I took off like that, I just needed to think, Nick, I support you one hundred percent,” Brian said.

       “Thanks, but I decided not to do the album, we all need a break and I really want to go out on my boat,” Nick said.

       “Guys, I met a girl when I ran out, I bumped into her, she is very nice, she just got a record deal and was here recording an album, she and I are having dinner tonight,” Brian said.

       “That’s great, man,” AJ said.

       “Yeah,” Nick said smiling.

       “You need to move on from your breakup with Samantha,” Kevin said.

       “So, if we are taking a break, does that mean we can’t hang out?” Brian asked.

       “Man, you have got to be joking, we are taking a break from touring and recording, not from each other!” Nick said.

       “Yeah, we are brothers,” AJ said. They all left the studio.

Chapter 2

Brian went to Hayley’s house that night and rang the doorbell. The door opened and Hayley stood there. She looked absolutely gorgeous in a black spaghetti strapped dress that was ankle length.

       “Hi,” Hayley said.

       “You look gorgeous,” Brian said.

       “Thanks, you look very handsome,” Hayley said.

       “Thanks, are you ready to go?” Brian said.

They went to Café Russe and had a nice dinner and conversation. Afterwards, they went for a walk in the park.

       “Nice night,” Hayley said.

       “Yeah,” Brian said.

       “You okay?” Hayley said.

       “I’m fine,” Brian said. They went back to Brian’s car and went to her house. He walked her up to the door.

       “Thanks for tonight, I had a fun time, I really enjoyed it,” Hayley said.

       “Me, too,” Brian said. They looked at each other. They moved closer and were kissing passionately. Hayley pulled back.

       “Wow,” Hayley said.

       “Yeah, wow,” Brian said. He smiled at her. She unlocked her door and turned and looked at him.

       “Would you like to come in?” Hayley asked. Brian nodded. He followed her inside and closed the door and locked it.

The next day, Brian went to Kevin’s house and rang the doorbell. Kevin opened the door and saw Brian.

       “Hey cuz, can I come in?” Brian asked.

       “Of course, you are always welcome,” Kevin said. Brian went in and saw Kristin and hugged her.

       “Hi Brian,” Kristin said.

       “Hey Kris, is it okay if I talk to your husband alone for a bit,” Brian said.

       “Sure, I’ll be upstairs,” Kristin said. She went upstairs.  Brian and Kevin sat down.

       “What’s up,” Kevin said.

       “Hayley and I went out last night, then we went back to her place,” Brian said.

       “What happened, Brian?” Kevin asked.

       “We had hot passionate sex, all night long, off and on,” Brian said. Kevin looked at him.

       “Was there protection?” Kevin asked.

       “Yes, there was,” Brian said.

       “You said she just got a record deal, are you sure she isn’t using you to further her career or anything,” Kevin said.

       “I don’t know,” Brian said.

       “You better find out,” Kevin said.

Brian went to Hayley’s house and knocked on the door and no one answered. He tried to door and it opened and he went in and heard her voice.

       “Yeah, I think I have a way to make myself very popular on the music scene, date a Backstreet Boy, I went out with Brian last night, yeah, and we came back here and had hot passionate sex, I have him hooked, yes, I’m being sarcastic, I have talent, I don’t need to date a Backstreet Boy to further my career, I have this feeling that I can make it on my own, yeah, Brian is a great guy, I think he is the right guy for me, considering my history with guys, Brian is the most decent and nicest guy I have gone out with, yeah, yeah, he is the one for me, yeah, I’ll talk to you later, bye,” Hayley said. She hung up the phone and got up and turned and saw him standing there.

       “I heard everything, I knocked but you didn’t answer so I came on in,” Brian said.

       “Brian, I’m not using you to further my career, I was being sarcastic,” Hayley said.

       “I don’t want to be use, Hayley, I want to have a relationship with someone who doesn’t want to be with me because of what I do, I just want to be with someone who wants me for me, not for who I am,” Brian said.

       “Brian, I want that, I will give up my record deal to be with you if I have to, you are the one for me, it doesn’t matter to me what you do, I don’t need to use anyone, I want to be with Brian Littrell, not Brian Backstreet, that is the god honest truth,” Hayley said. Brian looked at her.

       “Prove it, prove you want to be with me,” Brian said. Hayley kissed him deeply. She led him upstairs to her bedroom and closed the door.

Chapter 3

Brian went down to the studio the next day and went to a room where he saw Hayley singing. Kevin and Nick stood there watching her and were talking.

       “Hey guys,” Brian said.

       “Hey man, she’s got talent, she can really make it,” Kevin said. Brian smiled.

       “I know she can,” Brian said. Hayley saw him and smiled and continued recording.

Three months went by. Brian and Hayley became the hottest couple on the music scene. The guys treat her like a sister. Hayley proved to Brian that she wanted to be with him for him, not for what he did. She became the hottest star on the music scene without any help from Brian or the guys. Hayley and Brian didn’t announce they were a couple until after Hayley became a star. Hayley and Brian were in Brian’s bed at his house kissing after making love.

       “I really love being with you, Brian, I’m glad we waited until my career got going and I became popular before announcing that me and you were a couple, it shows the world that I didn’t have help getting this career or help getting to where I am today” Hayley said.

       “I love being with you, too,” Brian said. The doorbell rang. Brian got up and got dressed and went downstairs and opened the door and saw Kevin and AJ standing there.

       “Hey man, can we hang with Hayley today?” Kevin asked. Hayley came downstairs dressed and saw them.

       “Hey guys,” Hayley said. Hayley, AJ, and Kevin have hung up tons of time while Brian was hanging with Nick. 

       “They want to hang with you today,” Brian said.

       “Cool,” Hayley said. She hugged and kissed him and went out the door and they got into Kevin’s car and went to the beach. AJ saw some girls he knew and went to hang out with them. Hayley was walking down the beach. Kevin was with her and led her to a secluded area. Once there, they were kissing passionately. AJ ran up to them and joined in on the fun. Kevin kissed her neck while AJ kissed her deeply. They removed her clothes and removed their own clothes and Kevin and AJ took turns having sex with Hayley. Kevin just came inside Hayley when they heard a gasp. They looked and saw Nick standing there. They got their clothes on and grabbed Nick and sat him down.

       “Nick, where is Brian?” AJ asked.

       “He’s at home, how could you guys do this to him!” Nick said. Kevin looked at him.

       “It just happened, okay, we have been hanging out a lot and we were talking and one thing led to another and we were having threesomes, you can’t tell Brian anything, it will break his heart,” Kevin said.

       “Hayley, can I talk to Kevin and AJ alone?” Nick asked.

       “I’m going to go on home,” Hayley said. She walked off.

       “What is it, Nick?” Kevin asked.

       “Brian wasn’t with me, he’s been seeing Leighanne again, she convinced him that Hayley is using him to further her career, Brian was pushing Hayley to hang with you guys so she would fall for one of you guys,” Nick said.

       “Hayley isn’t using him,” AJ said.

       “She really does love him,” Kevin said.

       “Let’s go,” Nick said. They went to Brian’s house and went in and found Brian and Leighanne on the couch, naked and covered with a blanket.

Chapter 4

Kevin and AJ stood there looking at Brian and Leighanne. Kevin shook his head.

       “I can’t believe you would do this to Hayley!” Kevin said.

       “What do you mean, she is using me to further her career,” Brian said.

       “It’s true,” Leighanne said.

       “She is not using you, Brian, she truly loves you, she would give up her career in a heartbeat if you wanted her to,” Kevin said.

       “You mean more to her than her career,” AJ said.

       “It’s true, Brian,” Nick said. Hayley came in and saw Brian and Leighanne and covered her mouth in shock.

       “Oh my god, how could you!” Hayley cried.

       “Hayley,” Brian said.

       “I loved you, I truly loved you!” Hayley cried as tears ran down her face. Brian looked at her and saw the tears and realized that she did truly love him and was truly hurt. He got up and got dressed.

       “Hayley,” Brian said. Hayley stood back.

       “No, you leave me alone, we are so over, don’t come near me again, you jerk!” Hayley said as she ran out the door. Nick went after her. Kevin and AJ looked at Brian.

       “I can tell why you wanted me and AJ hanging out with her, you wanted her to fall for one of us so you can be with Leighanne, well, it isn’t going to work because she is in love with you, but I bet right now, she is wishing she was never in love with you,” Kevin said.

Hayley ran and ran and finally collapsed in the park. Nick came up to her and knelt down beside her.

       “Hey, it’s okay, he doesn’t deserve you, you are too good for him,” Nick said.

       “He said he loved being with me, I loved being with him, how could he do this to me, he believed me when I told him I wasn’t using him, god, Nick, I was not using him, I don’t need help with my career, you guys said I have talent, I can get places on my own,” Hayley said.

       “That’s right, look, forget about him, focus on your career, you will be going on tour, how about I go with you,” Nick said.

       “Thanks, Nick, you are my best friend,” Hayley said.

       “And you are mine,” Nick said. They hugged. They pulled back and looked at each other. They kissed deeply. They pulled back. Hayley got up.

       “That should have not happened,” Hayley said.

       “Yeah,” Nick said.

Two weeks later, Hayley was on tour. Nick was with her. She was in her hotel room. There was a knock at the door. Hayley opened it and saw Nick. He came in and took her into his arms and kissed her deeply. She closed the door.

       “I can’t stop thinking about that night that we kissed, it was amazing,” Nick said between kisses.

       “I know,” Hayley said.

       “I got to have you, Hayley, I can’t stop thinking about you and god, I need you so bad,” Nick said kissing her neck. He picked her up and carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed and removed her clothes and his clothes and laid on top of her and they made love. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other.

       “It was like a dream,” Nick said.

       “Yeah, it was, Nick, but if we jump into a relationship, our friendship could be ruined,” Hayley said.

       “How about just sex,” Nick said. Hayley smiled.

       “I like that,” Hayley said. They kissed and went to sleep.

Epilogue

Hayley woke up to knocking at the door. She got up and went out and opened the door and saw Brian standing there with Kevin.

       “What do you want,” Hayley said coldly.

       “I want you back, Hayley, I was told wrong, she told me wrong, she just wanted me back, but I’m in love with you, you are the one for me,” Brian said.

       “Too late, Brian, we are over, you chose to believe her over me, I told you from the beginning that I wasn’t using you, but you chose to believe your ex over me,” Hayley said. They looked behind her and saw Nick come out of the bedroom in his boxers.

       “Plus, me and Nick have something going on,” Hayley said.

       “You two are sleeping together,” Brian said.

       “Yeah, I’m free to do what I want, our desire for each other was too much to handle and we had to give into the passion between us, it was hot passionate sex, something you will never share with me, ever, again,” Hayley said slamming the door in his face and she looked at Nick and realized what she wanted.

       “Forget sex, Nick, make love to me, make me yours!” Hayley said jumping into his arms.

       “What about our friendship,” Nick said.

       “I want it to be more, you are the one, you always have been,” Hayley said. Nick carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed and made love to her. They knew they would never be apart again.
