Hayley sat there backstage watching the Backstreet Boys on the screen as they performed in concert. She was married to Nick. But the night before, she was in bed with Kevin. She couldn’t believe she slept with another guy who wasn’t her husband. Kevin and Hayley both knew it was wrong and could not happen again. But Kevin made her feel special. Nick was having problems with his family and he would go out and party after the concerts and always came home drunk and had lipstick stains on his shirts. The night before was the worst. Nick came after her and tried to hit her and told her to get out and she ran out and went to Kevin’s room and he held her close as she cried. One thing led to another and they were making love. She went back to her and Nick’s room and found Nick passed out on the bed. She went and slept on the couch where a hungover Nick found her in the morning. She explained what he tried to do and he broke down crying. He swore he would never drink again. All day he was by her side when he wasn’t busy and he was being very sweet and loving towards her. She prayed he wouldn’t go out and party. Leighanne sat down next to her.

     “You okay, girl,” Leighanne said.

     “I’m just thinking,” Hayley said.

     “Scared to find out what happens after the show, trying to figure out if Nick will stay with you,” Leighanne said.

     “Yeah, he swore he would never drink again,” Hayley said.

     “Show’s over,” Leighanne said. The guys came backstage and went to shower. Nick came over before going to shower.

     “Hey baby,” Nick said kneeling in front of her. She smiled at him.

     “Hey,” Hayley said. He stroked her cheek.

     “I’m keeping my promise, baby, you and me all night long,” Nick said. Hayley kissed him deeply.

     “Hey, I’m all sweaty,” Nick said.

     “Yeah, I know, but you are so sexy,” Hayley said. Nick smiled.

     “I’m going to go shower, I’ll be back out and we can go back to the hotel and be together,” Nick said.

     “I love you,” Hayley said.

     “I love you more,” Nick said. He kissed her deeply and went to shower. Hayley smiled and looked at Leighanne.

     “He really is going to do it,” Leighanne said.

     “But how long will it last before he hits the bottle again,” Hayley said quietly.

Nick came out of the shower first and came over to his wife and pulled her up and kissed her hungrily as Kevin and Brian came out of the showers. Kevin saw them kissing and looked at Brian.

     “I hope he doesn’t go partying again,” Kevin said. Leighanne came over.

     “He’s not,” Leighanne said. Nick and Hayley went out the door.

 

Chapter 2

 

Nick and Hayley went back to their room and he locked the door and took her in his arms.

     “Baby, I’m so sorry for going out every night and drinking and partying, I just was so fed up with my family’s problems that I turned to liquor to get rid of them, but I can’t hide in a bottle, I have to face them and I need you by my side, baby, I know about you and Kevin, I followed you after you ran out last night and I got Carlos to open Kevin’s door and I stood at the bedroom door and watched you two,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

     “Nick…” Hayley started to say but he put his finger on her lips.

     “Baby, I understand, I deserved it, I hurt you by partying every night and drinking and coming back drunk and I almost hit you last night,” Nick said.

     “Nick, I love you,” Hayley said.

     “I love you, too, I want to show you how much I love you,” Nick said. He picked her up and carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed and got on top of her. She removed his clothes and he removed hers and they gently made passionate love off and on all night long. After the last time, she curled up in his arms and went to sleep. He held her close and closed his eyes and went to sleep. The next morning he woke up and looked around and saw his wife sleeping in his arms. He smiled and held her close and kissed her forehead. She opened her eyes and looked at him and smiled.

     “Morning, baby,” Nick said.

     “Morning, you wore me out last night,” Hayley said.

     “Sorry, baby, I just want to show you how much I love you,” Nick said.

     “Oh you did,” Hayley said. He kissed her hungrily. She pulled back and ran to the bathroom. He got up and went in and held her hair as she threw up. She flushed and sat back against the wall. He got her a washcloth and got it wet and put it on her forehead.

     “Are you okay, baby,” Nick said.

     “I just don’t feel right,” Hayley said. He picked her up and carried her to the bed. He got her clothes and helped her get dressed and got dressed and he took her to the hospital. A doctor examined her. The doctor left the room. Nick sat there holding Hayley’s hand.

     “I hope it ain’t serious,” Nick said.

     “Me, too,” Hayley said. The doctor came back.

     “Hayley, you are pregnant, three months to be exact,” the doctor said. Nick grinned and hugged her. She smiled.

     “We’re having a baby, Nick,” Hayley said.

     “I can’t wait!” Nick said.

Six months went by and they were back in the hospital. Hayley gave birth to a baby girl. Nick never left her side again. When the guys went on tour, Hayley and the baby went with them. Nick said that he didn’t have to hide from his family problems. He said being with Hayley and their daughter was his safest place to hide.
